    Sammie is a middle-schooler who for over three years has been helping add Buddy Benches to her community. Buddy Benches are benches specifically made to encourage the creation of new friendships. If someone feels lonely, they sit on the Buddy Bench, which signifies to others that they are open to sparking up a conversation. Sammie has taken her community activism one step further and worked towards creating these benches out of recyclable material.     C.J. realized his calling to service at an early age. When he was five years old, his family experienced a pregnancy loss. To help him to cope, his mother Kristen set up a GoFundMe campaign and asked friends and family members across the country to donate money for C.J.'s cause. They created Blankies 4 My Buddies, and for seven years now, C.J. has been collecting warm blankets to provide an extra dose of comfort to kids who are sick or displaced.
