Peter Robbins returns to the show, and we talk about his return to the UK and Rendlesham, and then get into the life and research of Wilhelm Reich. If you are not familiar with the man, you should be. You will see why on this show. Peter is of course best known for his work on the Rendlesham Forest case, but has an extensive resume dealing with Reich as well. Peter Robbins was first introduced to the books of Wilhelm Reich as a teenager by a college roommate, to whom he remains deeply indebted. In 1976 he met Dr. Elsworth F. Baker, Reich's first assistant for the last eleven years of his life. Soon after this he became a patient of Dr. Baker and entered into almost seven years of medical orgone therapy with the distinguished orgonomist.Robbins went on to enroll in the classes New York University offered in scientific and social orgonomy which was taught by the Reich scholars Professors John Bell and Paul Matthews. They in turn invited him to become a member of their ongoing Seminar in Social and Scientific Orgonomy, patterned after the seminars which Sigmund Freud presided over during the nineteen twenties. Peter spent much of the nineteen eighties involved with this group, presenting a variety of papers to his fellow seminar members under Matthews' and Bell's guidance and leadership.Peter was a volunteer fundraiser for the American College of Orgonomy's (ACO) Building Fund and had two papers on Wilhelm Reich and UFOs published in the Journal of Orgonomy. He was part of a select group of volunteers invited to witness a demonstration of cloudbusting technology and presented on the subject of Reich and UFOs at the ACO's Princeton NJ facility, and at international conferences on the life and work of Reich in New York City, Ashland Oregon, Niece France and Karavomilos Greece. His lectures have been well received at numerous scientific and UFO conferences both here and abroad while his articles on the subject have been published in a variety of print and web publications. Robbins' extensively researched paper, “Politics, Religion and Human Nature: Practical Problems and Roadblocks on the Path Toward Official UFO Acknowledgment” is scheduled to be published in the upcoming issue of Annals of the Institute for Orgonomic Science. This week's show is with Caitlín Matthews. Caitlín is an internationally renowned author, a teacher of shamanic training programme, a facilitator of Systemic Ritual® and the co-founder of the Foundation for Inspirational and Oracular Studies (FÍOS). Caitlín is the author of over 80 books, including Diary of a Soul Doctor, Singing the Soul Back Home, the Art of Celtic Seership, Celtic Devotional and The Celtic Book of the Dead. Her books have won a number of awards. She is known internationally for her work on the spiritual, mythic and ancestral traditions of Britain and Ireland. She teaches and works with communities and spiritual institutions worldwide from Iceland to Portugal and from USA to Australia. Caitlín is a co-founder of the Foundation for Inspirational and Oracular Studies (FÍOS), which is dedicated to the sacred arts that shape the landscape of the soul, via vision, dream and memory. FÍOS hosts masterclasses with exemplars of living, oracular sacred traditions that are rarely recorded in writing or given an honourable place in modern society. Caitlín has had a shamanic healing practice in Oxford for the last 30 years, working in the community to deepen connections to the ancestral traditions which are our heritage. In this conversation, Lian and Caitlín explore what a real, living spiritual practice looks like in the midst of modern life, touching on the way people become porous when they have no spiritual resource, and the jittery fear that grows when we only trust material safety. They share what actually helps in the every day: small repeatable practices, honest prayer that uses different prepositions, and rooting myth and archetype back in the land beneath your feet so you stay human rather than trying to become a god. Listen if you have ever longed for a daily practice that feels real, wondered where to begin, or worried that you are somehow "not authorised" to walk a spiritual path. We'd love to know what YOU think about this week's show. Let's carry on the conversation… please leave a comment wherever you are listening or in any of our other spaces to engage. What you'll learn from this episode: How simple, daily gestures of attention to body, land, weather and soul can turn spiritual practice from a guilty obligation into a steady resource that stops you feeling like that unglazed china cup Why Caitlin's way of praying for, with, from and to reshapes responsibility, dissolves the fear of "doing it wrong", and widens who and what you understand yourself to be in relationship with What happens when you root archetypes, myths and personal practice in actual soil, seasons and place rather than abstract psychology: the stories come alive, your own life steadies, and you remain a person in service to the myth rather than being swallowed by it Resources and stuff that we spoke about: For Caitlín's books & courses see: www.hallowquest.org.uk For more of Caitlín's writing on a range of topics, including a year-long course, Blessings of the Celtic Year, see her Hallowquest Sanctuary at https://substack.com/@caitlinmatthewstigerna Join UNIO, The Community for Wild Sovereign Souls: This is for the old souls in this new world… Discover your kin & unite with your soul's calling to truly live your myth. Send us a textTrigger warning for, all of the things! child abuse, child death, domestic violence, suicide*In 1971 it was determined that a 4 month old baby boy had lost his life in a horrible accident, that involved, his nearly 2 year old sister, Tracey, having thrown him from his crib resulting in a head injury. As his sister grew up, she had never known the true cause of her little brothers death, and her mother Kathie had often given her conflicting stories. It was not until Tracey was older, with children of her own that she thought to request baby Matthews medical records, and that was when she learned the devastating news that she was listed as the reason for his passing. Many things did not add up for Tracey, but when she watched her own 18 month old daughter struggling to pick up a gallon of milk that they had just brought home from the store, she couldn't help but wonder how, at such a young age she was able to do what she was being accused of. To lift a 4 month old high enough to get him out of a crib, just did not add up. So Tracey decided to look into the circumstances surrounding Matthews death, a little closer. Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning open the second hour by previewing tonight's Maple Leafs vs. Panthers game. They get into Brad Marchand's rapport with the Toronto media and examine whether the Leafs may have missed their contention window amid Florida's mounting injuries. They discuss Auston Matthews' evolution, the importance of key players going forward, and whether the Leafs' health-science approach or simple injury-proneness is contributing to their lineup issues. After the break, Sportsnet NHL analyst Jason Bukala (27:00) joins to share his observations on the Leafs' current play, other teams' adjustments, Matthews' development, and any changes in Toronto's defensive-zone coverage. He also weighs in on Team Canada's Olympic goaltending picture and breaks down his latest draft rankings, where Keaton Verhoeff sits ahead of Gavin McKenna, and what their NCAA seasons and the upcoming World Juniors could indicate. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.

Episode 88 of The Wild Chaos Podcast pulls you straight into the kind of story people only talk about behind closed doors. This isn't a highlight reel or a sanitized interview — it's a raw, unfiltered walk through the moments that change a man forever.Watch the full episode #88 here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/5c7ESGgxVoYIn this episode, we sit down and unpack the real story behind Matthew's life, starting with the chaos he grew up in and the deep emotional wounds created by his stepmom. This wasn't normal discipline. It wasn't “tough love.” It was psychological warfare inside his own home — isolation, control, manipulation, and a level of emotional abuse that shaped the way he viewed himself for years. We dig into:How early trauma rewires a kid's identity before they even know what's happeningThe pressure of trying to survive in a home where love is conditionalThe way his stepmom's behavior created lifelong scars he didn't recognize until adulthoodHow those wounds followed him into relationships, work, and fatherhoodThe internal battle between protecting yourself and trying to belongHow he finally broke the cycle and rebuilt the parts of himself that were damagedFrom there, the conversation shifts into the challenges he faced later in life — the job, the stress, the moments that pushed him to his breaking point, and the reality of carrying childhood trauma into high-pressure adult situations. We talk about the coping mechanisms, the emotional shutdown, the slow process of rebuilding a sense of worth, and the moment he realized he wasn't broken — he was conditioned. This isn't a victim story. It's a transformation story. If you've ever dealt with childhood trauma, toxic parenting, emotional manipulation, or the long-term fallout of being raised in a dysfunctional home — this episode is going to hit hard and hit real.No filters. No sugar-coating. Just truth.
This week on The Geek in Review, we bring together a trio of Canadian legends from the legal web to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Canadian Law Blog Awards, better known as the Clawbies. Steve Matthews of STEM Legal and Slaw.ca, Sarah Sutherland of Parallax Information Consulting and former president and CEO of CanLII, and legal market analyst and Substack author, Jordan Furlong join us to talk about how legal publishing has changed over two decades and where it heads next. Along the way, we share a little host pride, since 3 Geeks and a Law Blog picked up a Friend of the North Clawbies back in 2011. Canada remembers, even if the trophy cabinet looks a little full on our side of the border. We start with Steve's long-running mantra: do not build your professional home on rented land. For years he pushed lawyers toward blogs and owned domains, warning that social platforms could change rules overnight or simply fall apart. That warning came into sharp focus as Twitter morphed into X and law Twitter scattered toward BlueSky, Mastodon, Threads and other venues. Jordan talks about deleting years of tweets rather than leaving a personal archive tied to a platform he no longer trusts, then describes how his own publishing shifted from long-form blogging at Law21 to a Substack newsletter model that feels more like a curated living room of engaged readers than a noisy town square. From there, Sarah introduces one of our favorite phrases in the episode, “law's eternal September,” where a constant wave of new technology, including generative AI, keeps the justice system and the information world in permanent transition. We explore how legal publishers now balance automation and human judgment, with AI helping on classification, annotations, and summaries, while editors and authors still play a central role in verification and context. We share our own experience with AI-assisted prep for the show, and how a human guest had to correct outdated biographical details. That leads to a broader point about the need for trusted, non-AI sources that give researchers, lawyers, and readers a place to check facts and assumptions before sharing work with clients or the public.Jordan, Steve, and Sarah then turn to the Clawbies themselves and the theme they have set for the upcoming awards year: “the year of the truth teller.” In an era of disinformation, sloppy AI content, and reputation-damaging LinkedIn posts, lawyers and legal professionals gain real value by standing out as accurate, consistent voices who care about community as much as client work. Steve explains how the Clawbies now cover blogs, newsletters, podcasts, Tik Toks, and other formats, while still focusing on authenticity and public legal education. We also learn about the “humble Canadian rule,” where nominators highlight one to three other voices, while the organizers quietly take a closer look at the nominator's own work in the background. The mission stays the same: surface new voices, new formats, and generous contributors who strengthen public conversation. We close with a look ahead. Steve predicts more structured, list-driven use of newer platforms like BlueSky for targeted conversations, while Sarah points to growing centralization as giants such as Thomson Reuters, LexisNexis, and Clio blend publishing and practice software. Jordan sees a fractured present, with silos and distrust, but also anticipates a future pull toward recombination, where readers gravitate to sources and bundles that feel trustworthy again. Through it all, the three guests encourage anyone interested in writing, podcasting, or other media to choose a format that fits personal strengths, commit to thoughtful output, and focus on truth-telling over pure marketing.[Special Thanks to Legal Technology Hub for their sponsoring this episode.] Email: geekinreviewpodcast@gmail.comMusic: Jerry David DeCicca

Featured Musician: Sunday the Band THE VIDEO: [After THE JUMP: The show notes.] --------------------- 1. Ohio State Preview: Offense starts at the top Forecast is wind and snow, the real blizzard arriving after the game. Other than one guard they all range from solid to stars. They're back to what they were in 2021-'22, with a future 1st round QB in Julian Sayin who reads leverage on Ryan Day's standard multi-level drag routes and throws to the guys getting open. Those guys: Jeremiah Smith, the future #1 overall pick, and Carnell Tate, who will be a 1st rounder this year. Both have been banged up, but we think they're both going to play and more or less be themselves, with an excuse banked if they lose. Where they've advanced is they use a lot more two-TE sets, particularly Max Klare, a true blocky+catchy hybrid who may necessitate a hybrid response. They use the TEs in clever RPOs to create space for Sayin's throws, and are good enough in the run game with Bo Jackson to punish you for overplaying pass. 2. Ohio State Preview: Defense starts at 16:59 Be afraid. Illinois gained 295 yards on 4.2 YPP and Washington gained 234 yards on 4.4 YPP. Alex Drain does not like Matt Patricia, but he's slimmed down himself and his playbook and has Ohio State playing at an elite level. That's Caleb Downs, the guy Corum juked for a touchdown in the Rose Bowl, and now the best player in football, who's allowed to rove around and make plays while they man you with everybody else. It's also the play of their linebackers; Sonny Styles was the guy Corum juked on the 6-5 touchdown, but was always supremely talented and is at the peak of his game. Arvelle Reese was another big recruit; he came on last year and is in the conversation to go 1st overall as a grow-a-Parsons. He can be a safety, a DE, a linebacker, or anything. They can get away with all of that man and blitzing LBs because Igninosu, Matthews, and Styles are excellent athletes in coverage, and the Big Ten doesn't like to flag their grabbiness. The next generation of DBs is coming up—you remember trying to recruit Aaron Scott and Bryce West, plus #8 overall Devin Sanchez. They replaced four superstars on the DL with a superstar, a star, and two Just-Guys. Kayden McDonald is the lone member who wasn't a top-50 recruit but he's the star, and is probably a step too far Crippen and Guarnera. Caden Curry made the leap; he's Jack Sawyer 2.0, a strong pass-rusher and a force against the run. Kenyatta Jackson is equally strong against the run but is a block-and-done rusher. Tywone Malone has been there for ages. 3 and 4. Hoops in Vegas After-Action Report starts at 31:49 and 44:49 Beat Auburn by 30 and SDSU and Zaga by 40. Teams came into this thinking they could blitz Michigan's ball screens, Michigan came in having practiced their response to it. Zaga thruck? Look who took their shots—those aren't their shooters. The defense has been incredible; Morez allows you to be switchable when Mara is off the court and when he's on there's nowhere to go with the ball. Zaga had to take a bunch of push shots from 12 feet that are good shots for them, but that's not going to sustain an offense. Cason is coming around, though the offense is still much smoother with Cadeau. Turnovers are going to be the thing for this team again; when they get anything like even shot volume they're murder because their threes are open and they have all of these guys who score at the rim. Yaxel is becoming the Weapon that he was thought to be in the portal, but is extra dangerous because he doesn't have to be. Big-big actions are going to have to level up now that teams are sitting on them. This is where you bring in Tschetter, because a team that prepared for Johnson is out of sorts. Featured Artist: Sunday the Band If it wasn't for Brad Dumont I might still be in the Rose Bowl parking lot. Brad recognized us, let us in his car, and took us to Randy Sklar's place in time to catch Washington vs. Texas. He also put on the music of his then-14-year-old son Nate. Part of this had to be the fact Michigan had just won 26-20 in overtime in Nick Saban's last game. Also these kids rocked. It's relatable catchy stuff with a funky rhythm that's way more advanced than anyone ought to be at that age. Apparently in the two years since these high schoolers have picked up a following in the Pasadena music scene, but were getting in at the bottom floor; these are the two songs they've recorded so far. Trouble in Paradise was the one we were bouncing around to like middle-aged Mikey Sainristils. Rewind hits right now. Also give it up for a four-piece band when all the stuff that gets pushed these days are from solo artists and collabs. You can make fun of me now then turn this on for the ride home after we win. Songs: Rewind Trouble in Paradise Also because Across 110th Street will get our Youtubes taken down, the opener and outro: “The Employee is Not Afraid”—Bear vs. Shark “Ruska Vodka”—Motorboat
ESPN Hockey Reporter Emily Kaplan joined OverDrive to discuss the headlines around the NHL, teams at the American Thanksgiving mark of the season, Auston Matthews' integral role, Alex Ovechkin's career tenure, Sidney Crosby's future in the league, the possible changes to the standings and more.
In this powerful episode (guest-hosted by Sana), dream interpreter and spiritual mentor Caleb Matthews reveals how anyone can intentionally train their subconscious mind for lasting success. Blending cutting-edge science (Dr. Masaru Emoto's water experiments), ancient wisdom (“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”), and practical spirituality, Caleb explains why your words and thoughts literally shape your reality — and how to shift from self-sabotage to divine alignment in everyday life. Key Takeaways: Your subconscious is always listening 24/7 — it doesn't resist what you declare, whether positive or negative. Science proves it: Dr. Masaru Emoto's water crystal experiments show that spoken words physically change matter — the same happens inside your mind and body. “As you think in your heart, so are you” — your internal focus magnifies and manifests (grasshopper mindset vs. victorious mindset). We are trichotomous beings (spirit, soul, body). Ignoring the spirit and only hustling with soul + body leads to burnout and self-sabotage. The SSB Method (Spirit → Soul → Body) creates true harmony and sustainable success for leaders, seekers, and everyday people alike. You don't need elite status — even with a mustard-seed level of faith and declaration, you can speak to mountains (obstacles) and watch them move. There is no neutral ground: you are programming your subconscious with light or darkness every single day. Practical declaration examples: finances, exams, relationships, health — speak blessing and reap the harvest (the universal law of sowing and reaping). Your voice is one of the greatest gifts God gave you — use it to train your subconscious for the prosperous future you were designed for. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay (five straight), Minnesota (six straight), and Colorado (one regulation loss by U.S. Thanksgiving) are rolling, with the Avs looking every bit like a wagon. Plus, in Ask Ray & Dregs we discuss personal space between the benches, will Ovi chase 1000 and the effectiveness of "players-only" meetings.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
