Everyone has had at least one "Never Give Up" moment in their life. It's a moment that, when all hope seems lost, we push through – no matter what. The Pete Scalia PSNeverGiveUp Podcast features inspiring stories of people from all walks of life – some yo
actor/writer/director/producer John Lawson – a man who personifies fortitude, perseverance and inspiration. John Lawson's story is nothing short of incredible. The actor, writer, director, producer, musician, and father is also a double-amputee – and a champion for actors with disabilities. John and I go way back. In fact, he's the first person I thought of when I came up with the idea of PSNeverGiveUp. Like any good comedy/tragedy, John's story has multiple acts. As a result, I've split our conversation into two parts. In Part One, John shares how he went from a promising professional musician to losing both of his hands – and just some of the incredible things he's accomplished since then. This is Part One of our conversation – the first episode of the podcast recorded LIVE in the studio at Felitto Media.
Musician FREEKBASS on his own near-death experience – and perseverance during a pandemic You could say that being a musician is living one "never give up" moment after another. Called "the new spiritual warrior for the funk" by Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame bassist Bootsy Collins, Cincinnati-based musician FREEKBASS talks about the accident and near-death experience that changed his perspective on life, and how every touring musician has had to evolve and persevere during the pandemic.
Alanna Martella – The incredible story of a woman who is using her own death experience to inspire others. How many people do you know who have died – and came back? Television personality Alanna Martella's story is nothing short of incredible. In this episode, Alanna shares with Pete how she is using her literal second lease on life to inspire others to never give up!
Fortitude • Perseverance • inspiration – Listen now! It's finally here! After months of hard work – developing and building the PSNeverGiveUp.com website, setting up the online shop, integrating social media and learning everything I can about coding, web design and starting my own business (all while navigating life as two working parents with three kids during a pandemic) – I am SO happy to announce that an integral part of the #PSNeverGiveUp Movement is now LIVE! You can listen (and subscribe!) to The Pete Scalia #PSNeverGiveUp Podcast right here on my website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Stitcher and many other podcast outlets. As things slowly start to reopen after the pandemic, I'll be conducting interviews (hopefully in-person!) and uploading content on a regular basis. It's been incredibly challenging (to say the least) launching the #PSNeverGiveUp Movement during a global pandemic – but I sincerely hope you enjoy and are inspired by the podcast, videos and social media content I'm producing. It's a lot of work – but I honestly feel like I have found my true purpose and couldn't be more excited about what's to come! Please be sure to like and share new podcast episodes and other content as it becomes available! And if you have an inspiring story you'd like me to share on the show or on social media, I'd love to hear from you. Pete#PSNeverGiveUp
