In this episode of the Perfect RIA Podcast, Matthew Jarvis sits down with financial powerhouse Jenny Martella, whose journey from managing $19 million to $250 million before joining Modera is nothing short of inspirational. Jenny shares wisdom that goes beyond numbers, revealing how meaningful connections shaped her success story. She unpacks the secret of effective succession planning (hint: it's not just about retirement) and why creating the right firm culture can make or break your practice. Jenny offers refreshing insights on why women advisors bring distinctive strengths to the table that boost bottom lines and how finding your niche can transform casual prospects into devoted clients. The conversation weaves through practical advice on building leadership teams, embracing mentorship, and staying "bus ready" to protect client interests. Perhaps most compelling is Jenny's philosophy that when your team thrives, your clients flourish – suggesting that the path to profitability might be paved with purpose rather than just profit margins.

A GoFundMe account has been established for three daughters of Martella Tyler, who died Sunday in what police have said was a murder-suicide in Huntsville. Police said Justin Tyler killed Martella Tyler before taking his own life in what was described as a domestic dispute. Police said they responded shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday on a domestic disturbance call and arrived to find the north Huntsville house where the bodies were found on fire. Police said Wednesday that a juvenile was removed from the home at the time of the incident. The child was treated and released from a Huntsville hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said, and the child is in the custody of family members. Autopsies are planned for Martella Tyler and Justin Tyler. According to an arrest warrant, Justin Tyler was charged in February with first-degree domestic violence for injuring Martella Tyler with a pocketknife. In the description of the GoFundMe account, it states that one of Martella Tyler's daughters was at the home Sunday but was able to escape. Martella leaves behind three beautiful daughters who are now without both mother and father,” the description said. [Source: Al.com] --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/leah-gordone/support

The Call to Practice the Presence Audacity and Linda Martella-Whitsett must be great friends. Her first book has an audacious title How to Pray without Talking to God. In it she says her dearest wish is for us to realize “all that God is we are.” In her new book Divine Audacity, Linda delivers on that wish and guides us to practice the Presence of who we really are and what we're really here to be—the Light of the Divine in the world.
