The Tony Club

We do a podcast! We kind of forgot about it because we haven't done it in so long! We didn't even completely finish reading one of the three Tony Award winners from 1960!

James and Cass say goodbye to the 1950s with a whimper not a bang. Whether we're seeing Red with Redhead or feeling like we're being put through some cruel test like J.B./Job, it's another episode of The Tony Club and with a light romp based on Jack The Ripper (ikr?) and some purple poetry from a play in verse.

The 2018 Tony nominations have been announced at it was just the right amount of guilt to get James and Cass back into the podcasting game and recording their 13th episode of The Tony Club. We chat about our favourite nominees of 2018 and then discuss Sunrise at Campobello (the story of FDR and his battle with polio) and The Music Man (the story of Music and its fight with a Man), two works that look back at the nostalgia of an earlier time whereas other nominees (Look Back In Anger, West Side Story) reflect the broiling anger and pain that the youth of the day were going through.
