We question if it perhaps paints a to hopeful projection of the human race's chances right now seeing how unwilling so many are unwilling to confront white supremacy; we ask how the observer effect is playing out during this pandemic; and how each day we are presented with certain risks we can choose to take or not take based on the importance of the task.

We find inspiration in Pulaski's passion and Picard's willingness to take the ultimate responsibility when dealing with a life or death situation. We also ask the question: Why don't we just turn over the whole response to COVID-19 to the women? It is clear that they the world leaders doing the best job of dealing with the crisis.

Deep Space Nine: Babel Original Air Date: 1/24/93 As the heroes of Deep Space Nine valiantly rush to save the lives of everyone aboard Deep Space Nine, a cargo freighter captain makes an ill advised escape attempt that provides them all with a meaningless distraction. Caroline and Bryan are sad to report the fiction of this story hits so close to home in this American pandemic experience. ***As you will hear, two times during this episode, Caroline refers to Odo as "Captain". Bryan did not correct her in order to continue to gently usher her into her Star Trek becoming.

The Original Series: The Naked Time Original Air Date: 9/29/66 Kirk for President Who are we revealed to be during COVID-19? The crew of the Enterprise reveal the deepest, hidden parts of themselves as a side effect of a mysterious virus that overtakes the ship after a visit to a doomed planet. COVID-19 seems to be doing the same, peeling back layers of the social and political structures we have put in place, exposing the weaknesses and systemic deficiencies within.
