There's a spy aboard Defiant and everybody's got an excuse to act weird! And we see one of Andy's favorite complaints about Odo be proven right - he should be T2-ing and Mr. Fantastic-ing all over the place![Episode discussion begins around 1:06]

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Series 1, Episode 17. First broadcast on Sunday 23 May 1993. Stardate: 46925.1. Three plots for the price of one this week on Deep Space Nine. In reverse order of importance: (C) we all stand around in Ops talking about the computer; (B) Julian gets some funny lines and a pleasantly unsurprising character arc; and (A) Odo and Lwaxana are trapped in a lift together with nothing to do but some amazing and even quite moving acting. Underrated, but mostly by people who don't enjoy things that are good.

LOVE LIES SCREAMING. Garak tortures Odo to get back into Enabran Tain's good graces. Meanwhile, Sisko defies orders to mount a rescue only for he and the Defiant to come across one of Trek's biggest space battles -- to that point! DS9's Season Three Leap Forward theme month continues with the conclusion to an accidental two-parter. The grades begin at (28:41).

If he could only have a symbiont of his own, all would be well, and his girlfriend would especially love him. Doing his research, he found that Dax was the ideal match, and so he has come to the station with the help of Klingon mercenaries to take what he thinks is rightfully his. The final Deep Space Nine Section 31 focused episode, "Extreme Measures", takes us inside the mind of Luther Sloan as Bashir and O'Brien attempt to find the cure to Odo's disease as mentioned in the previous episodes of DS9 "Tacking into the Wind" and "When it Rains". This episode, which appears only a few episodes from the conclusion of the series brings an end to this portion of the Section 31 story line. As Luther Sloan is dying, Bashir and O'Brien have a choice....save Odo or discover the information necessary to bring down the entire Section 31 organization.
