At lordofbeasts.com, the “irreligious religion”™ decries superstition and anthropocentrism. Our mission is to make rationality and protection of our Earth and fellow species the highest human ideals.
Our second sermon, presented on the Autumnal Equinox of 2013, addresses the concept of Transfiguration of the Ordinary--the concept of adjusting one’s attitude to appreciate the treasure of life without deceiving oneself with superstition and religious dogma. The Cernunnusian three-precept canon of “Deny, Denounce, Declare”™ is also discussed, through which rational thinkers proclaim to the religious and anthropocentric majority that they DENY that this Earth is only a tool for humans’ “salvation;” they DENOUNCE the practice of using up this planet as if it were disposable, while awaiting an imaginary Paradise, Celestial Kingdom, or Heaven; and they DECLARE that the human mission is not the salvation of human souls, but the protection of our natural world and ALL of our fellow creatures.
Our first sermon, presented here on the Summer Solstice of 2013, addresses the basic Cernunnusian doctrine of “Renounce, Discover, Embrace.”™ “Renounce, Discover, Embrace” encourages “gentiles,” as we refer to the misguided followers of other belief systems, to RENOUNCE the superstitions and prejudices of their ancestors; to DISCOVER the animal within; and to EMBRACE compassion and love for ALL living creatures.
