2 boys from South West London travel the country following football's oldest cup.
Gas Or Sewage - Southall FC Vs Ashford Town FC by Alex and Jack
Season 2 - the boys are back on the road in the hunt for Wembley. The first round takes them to Molesey FC. The visiting team are non league behemoths, Southall FC. Tune in for more FA Cup antics, incomprehensible punditry and frustratingly bad jingles. Enjoy!
After another "regular as clockwork" hiatus, the boys are back in a big way. As the pandemic's effect on the footballing world seem to ease, Jack and Alex prepare to have another crack at their marathon journey to Wembley. More details to follow.
Deep down in lockdown town Alex and Jack dust off the microphone and discuss how football has reacted to it's temporary cessation. They also rewind the clock all the way back to the Kassam carpark where they somewhat lethargically recount the most entertaining game of the journey.
The boys travel to the Hawthorns in what could be their last game. The podcast takes a turn as the coronavirus pandemic sweeps across the globe. All major sporting events are postponed or cancelled, including the FA cup.
It's a big one. The boys go up the Toon to see the Us take on the Magpies. This podcast features stories about 14" pork swords, a cheating part time referee and a very drunk Jack Dormer. plus, expect the return of a fan favourite, as well as the usual New Club nonsense.
New Year. New round. New city. Same nonsense. The boys travel to the Kassam to see the Pools take on Oxford United. 2b1c news, a fresh new club jingle and the return of an old friend (not santa).
Into the 2nd round now, the boys are south east bound again as they watch the Pools take on Exeter City. They are also fortunate enough to be joined by a certain festive and special guest!
A bit of a strange one. The boys cover the aftermath of the horrendous incidents in the previous game, as well as the the ensuing replay and everything that happened after that!
The match starts as one of the most important games in years for Haringey Borough but due to off the field events, the result pales into insignificance. The boys are left stunned when exposed to English football's ugly underbelly.
As Tommy Loizou's yellow and blue army march on, they take on a team in the same division as themselves in London's oldest club, Cray Wanderers.
Jack and I return to Coles Park to watch our 'new club' Haringey Borough take on Staines Town FC. Expect fireworks and language some listeners might find offensive.
Another absolute corker - Jack and Alex attend their fourth game of the pod, away at Haringey Borough. In this episode they discuss which team god would support, film actor Sean Bean and less amusingly, the politicisation of football.
After an enthralling draw at the Safety Net Stadium, Jack and Alex are back where they belong watching the replayed fixture, AFC Croydon Athletic vs Herne Bay FC
In the first real away day of the pod, Jack and Alex travel to Kent's Herne Bay as they follow their beloved AFC Croydon. They're in for a treat...
And the ball is rolling...with the podcast now up and running Jack and Alex dive into their first game. They experience Croydon culture, technical difficulties and pick up a literary gem!
