Crack Tales tells the stories of one man's addiction to crack cocaine AND the stories of the friends, family, employers and coworkers who lived through it with him. Stories and interviews from the world of a crack addict and those who watched it happen.
I am a lucky man. In this episode I connect with a friend from high school who is a clinical psychologist and an all around amazing woman. We only knew each other for one year in high school, way back in 1976, but reconnected through Facebook and she was gracious enough to grant me this interview. It is full of insight and humanity, and love. Thanks friend! Enjoy Cracklins!
Hi listeners. Episode 4 describes a child sexual assault. It's rough. Heed this warning if you think it might be too much for you. And be sure, I am fine now, really. The episode is not all made up of only the description of the rape. There are indeed many lighter moments as well.Un abrazo fuerte.
My father was a civil rights activist in Seattle in the 1960s. A lot of people didn't like it. I am proud of what he did and can only imagine what might have happened had he had more time. Listen to the trailer and Episodes 1 and 2 first! Episodes 0 and 0.1 are well worth listening to as well!
In Episode 2 we hear from my comrades of the time - my sisters and friends - all women, which was typical of my social circle. Life in the 60's in Des Moines, Washington, USA, and the forming of a future crackhead.
The first formal episode of Crack Tales, the very beginning in suburban Seattle when seatbelts just weren't so important but doctors were already hot.
Because I announced production of Crack Tales way back on my 18th anniversary of being clean, February 22, 2020, and I'm still deep in production of the series of episodes, I'm posting this for your intermediate listening pleasure. Please, subscribe on and leave a review on Apple Podcasts, it will help us! If you want to help further, we're always looking for transcribers. It's really easy and the only commitment is for 10 minutes of audio at a time. The process is easy and fun! If you're interested in transcribing please shoot me an email at cracktalespodcast@gmail.com, on IG @cracktalespodcast, or on my personal Facebook page at William David Borden. Thanks!
