A Methodist Deacon just trying to make the church a less confusing place through podcasting, tweeting, meme use and generally making lots of pop culture references.

The Bible is a multi-stranded, interwoven, network of wisdom and stories. You could just stare at one point on that great web or like following links and a train of thought around the internet you could discover something that you didn't know was there.
I am a bit behind on the next podcast in which I want to explore some of the amazing tools that are out there to help us get the most out of the Bible. So in the meantime here is a sermon of mine which makes use of some of the things from Episode 1 and 2. If you want to look up the Bible verses 1 Samuel 17 for the David and Goliath and Mark 4:35-41 for Jesus calming the storm.
Fanart, fanfiction and headcanon are some of the most amazing things to come out of nerd culture, how can these things help us in our reading and understanding of the Bible? Listen and find out, or don't, I can't tell you what to do, I'm just a podcast description.
Woooop! My very first podcast. It's a bit clunky but I hope you find the content helpful. You can message me via my Twitter @Jon_the_Deacon
