Podcast by Cody Cannon
This week, we are joined by Greg Diehl to talk about disillusionment and hurt within the church. Some of us have been hurt by churches in the past. Some of us have seen friends walk away from God after a bad experience with a church or pastor. So we talk about the church's job to point towards Christ in all things despite our own imperfections.
Cody sits down this week to talk with Lance Hahn, Pastor of Bridgeway Christian Church in Rocklin, and author of "How to Live in Fear: Mastering the Art of Freaking Out". They talk about how the struggle of anxiety is very real within the church and should be handled with grace and compassion.
Our kids are all remarkably busy these days, and their sports schedules often cause a conflict with how involved they are in church. But how should we handle that conflict? Cody & Travis sit down with another local Pastor, Dr. Andy Flowers, to talk about how your kids can be involved with sports, but still be discipled with church as a high priority.
Church on Sunday mornings can fall down on our priority lists every now and then. Or maybe you're not plugged in to one at all. Cody & Travis sit down this week to talk practically about why you should go to a church, and more specifically a local church.
We're surrounded by people all the time and we're supposed to be lights to them. But every now and then, especially in the workplace, some people are harder to love than others. So Cody sits down with guest Joe Biggs this week to answer the question, "How do I show love to people I work with?"
The guys (Gustavo, Joe, and Cody) sit down to discuss what this whole podcast thing is going to be about, and what we can look forward to over the next few months . Some topics they introduce are: Science vs. Religion, Church kids in sports, and how joe gets roped into just about everything around here.
