Your gifts are tools that will help you fulfil your purpose. They are the ‘How’. Knowing your purpose but not knowing your area of gifting is like being a builder with no tools. 3. The Importance Of Confidence Confident; feeling or showing confidence in oneself or one’s abilities or qualities. Confidence; the feeling or belief that one can have faith in or rely on someone or something So it’s already obvious why confidence is important and why we need to display confidence in anything we do. If I lack confidence it means that I do not believe in myself as an individual and I don’t believe in my ability to perform or execute a particular task. Listen to this; If I have confidence I have faith in myself, if I have confidence I believe in myself and the abilities that I have. The mindset of someone who lacks confidence will sound like this “I do not believe in myself as an individual and I do not have faith in myself or my abilities”. Before you can be successful, before you can achieve your dreams, before you can reach your targets you must have your confidence in check. Do you believe in you? Because if you don’t then no one else will! Without confidence you will never be competent. 5 Things That Lack Of Confidence Say Lack of confidence says “I don’t Believe In This”. In this game of life you have to convince people. The first place that you convince people is by being convinced yourself. You cannot convince someone with out having confidence. Lack of confidence says “Don’t Trust Me”. If someone’s not confident in their ability to do something then they cannot be trusted to complete the task at hand. One day I was cutting hair and the look of lack of confidence on my face was enough for the guy sitting in the seat not to trust me with his hair cut Confidence gives brith to trust. Lack of confidence says “I’m Not committed” If I’m not confident in something I’m not going to commit to it because I don’t believe in it’s future, I don’t believe in the end result. If I’m not confident in myself I will not commit or invest in myself because I do not have faith in my ability to achieve anything. I’m not going to spend time working on myself because as far as I’m concerned there’s nothing to work on. Im not good this so I’m not going to spend time trying to improve, I’m not good at that so I’m not going to spend time to improve therefore I fail to commit to myself because of my lack of confidence. Things That Confidence Does Confidence Opens The Door Of Opportunity When you’re confident you show passion, when you’re confident you show drive and determination and people are looking for individuals with these characteristics. There’s a saying “success is nothing but preparedness met with opportunity”. This means that the reason why people are successful is because they were ready when the opportunity came. People that lack confidence are not fully prepared for the moment called ‘Opportunity’. “Stay ready so that you don’t have to get ready”. 2. Confidence Makes You Attractive People are drawn to individuals that display confidence. When you display confidence you show that you have the ability to lead and potentially become successful in whatever you put your hand to. Confidence draws attention. It’s often time said that we shouldn’t draw attention to ourselves but that’s debatable. We need attention in order to be successful. 3. Confidence Builds Trust People invest in whatever they can trust in. Friendships, love, business, finance and opportunities are all established by trust. If you don’t have confidence it’s a sign that people shouldn’t invest in you why? Because you can’t be trusted to come through.
