Send us Fan MailAfter a disappointing IVF retrieval, it is tempting to change everything. But does a new protocol actually explain a better next cycle—or is biology doing some of the talking? In this episode, Dr. Mark Amols explains why IVF protocols absolutely matter, but why there is no single “perfect” protocol that can guarantee a certain number of eggs or mature eggs. Using the analogy of an Olympic runner and the right running shoes, he breaks down the physician's role: optimize the medication plan, timing, trigger, and safety—without pretending we can fully control ovarian biology.Dr. Amols reviews a 2026 Fertility and Sterility study of 801 consecutive IVF cycle pairs showing substantial cycle-to-cycle variation even when patients used the same stimulation protocol and dose. He also discusses why mature eggs matter more than total egg count, when a protocol change is purposeful, and why retrieval and lab workflow can influence the final egg number too.If your last IVF cycle did not go as hoped, this episode will help you ask the better question: not “What can we change?” but “What did we learn, and what are we trying to improve?”Referenced studies: Hochberg et al., Fertility and Sterility (2026); Mutlu et al., Nature Medicine (2026).Thanks for tuning in to another episode of 'Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday' with Dr. Mark Amols. Jensen spent years treating her acne, irregular cycles, and eating patterns as separate problems — until a PMOS (previously known as PCOS) diagnosis connected the dots. This episode breaks down how she stopped chasing symptoms and started actually healing. In this episode, Jensen walks through her full health journey — from childhood body image pressure and disordered eating, through years of unexplained acne and cycle irregularity, to finally getting a PMOS diagnosis and learning to treat the root cause instead of the symptoms. She shares what functional health coaching taught her about balance, hormone health, and healing without perfectionism.   Key Takeaways: PMOS (previously PCOS) symptoms like acne and irregular cycles are often treated as isolated issues — but they're usually connected to a bigger root cause. Restrictive eating patterns can quietly contribute to hormonal and metabolic dysfunction years down the line.  Real healing means shifting from symptom-chasing (spot treatments, quick fixes) to addressing root causes — and learning balance over perfection.   Chapters: 00:00 – Intro (the deer chase story) 06:00 – Childhood: Type A, "Glass Child Syndrome" & Control 11:42 – The Start of an Eating Disorder 15:09 – Binge Eating & Purging: What It Really Looked Like 18:14 – The Turning Point: Discovering Macros 20:27 – How Restriction Led to PCOS & Metabolic Damage 28:40 – The Acne Journey: From Age 13 to Present 33:37 – Getting the PCOS Diagnosis 45:09 – Cycle Syncing & Knowing Your Body 47:24 – Balance Over Perfection: The 80/20 Approach 53:08 – Bodybuilding, Burnout & Quitting Cold Turkey in Mexico   Want to Work With Us? Stop Chasing Mortgage Leads: Your Next Deal Is Already in Your DatabaseYOU ALREADY HAVE THE LEADYour next mortgage deal may already be sitting in your database. So why are so many loan officers spending more time chasing strangers than strengthening relationships they have already earned? In this episode of the FinTech Hunting Podcast, host Michael Hammond sits down with mortgage industry leader Kortney Lane-Schafers to challenge the mortgage industry's obsession with generating more leads. They explore how loan officers and lenders can use existing borrower relationships, referral partners, real-time data, and AI-powered technology to uncover repeat business and create more relevant customer conversations. But this episode is not just about technology. It is about using technology to become more human, more helpful, and more valuable at the exact moment a borrower or referral partner needs you.In this episode, you'll discover:Why your existing mortgage database may be your biggest untapped growth opportunityHow to generate more repeat and referral business without constantly buying new leadsHow AI can identify timely borrower and property opportunitiesWhy data is useless unless it leads to a clear next actionHow loan officers can stay relevant long after the closingWhy technology should strengthen relationships—not replace themHow personal branding, video, and authentic communication build trustHow can loan officers generate more repeat mortgage business?Loan officers can generate more repeat business by consistently staying connected with past borrowers, monitoring relevant changes in their financial or housing needs, and reaching out with timely information that provides genuine value. Can AI replace the human relationship in mortgage lending?AI can help loan officers analyze data, identify opportunities, prioritize outreach, and communicate more efficiently. It cannot replace the trust, empathy, judgment, and personal guidance borrowers need when making a major financial decision. How can mortgage professionals use their database more effectively?A mortgage database should be more than a list of names. When borrower, property, market, and referral-partner data are connected, loan officers can identify who may need help, understand why the opportunity matters, and determine the most relevant next action. What is MMI One Mobile?MMI One Mobile helps mortgage professionals turn borrower, property, market, and referral-partner intelligence into actionable opportunities. It is designed to help loan officers identify potential conversations and act on them from one mobile experience. The mortgage professionals who win will not be the ones with the most technology. They will be the ones who use technology to create the most meaningful relationships.Watch the full conversation and decide:Do loan officers really need more leads—or do they need to stop ignoring the opportunities they already have?Subscribe to the FinTech Hunting Podcast for candid conversations with the leaders and innovators shaping the future of mortgage, fintech, artificial intelligence, customer experience, and financial services.Learn more about MMI One Mobile at mmi.io.###Michael Hammond, Founder of NexLevel Advisors, is the leading fractional CMO in mortgage and mortgage technology, specializing in AI-powered growth strategy and audience development.

Consistency sounds boring until you realize it's the fastest path to trust and the easiest way to spot what's broken. In this CX Pulse Check episode, Jeannie Walters is joined by Nick Westergaard, host of the On Brand podcast and author of Brand Now and Get Scrappy, to look at what actually moves the needle in customer experience (CX) and brand building when attention is scarce and expectations are high.We dig into why major brands point to reliable basics as the key to their turnarounds: better training, smoother checkout, smarter inventory, and fewer “almost good enough” moments. Nick shares a simple mental model for this kind of work: stop chasing one huge “wow” and start raising the floor everywhere. When customers know what to expect, they don't just come back, they give you more grace when something goes wrong. Then we zoom in on neuroscience and cognitive load, the hidden force behind friction. Customers live in constant partial attention, and every extra step, confusing choice, or unnecessary question drains their mental energy. We talk about why simplification often beats adding features, how AI customer service earned distrust through bad early experiences, and what it takes to use automation without getting in the way.We close with brand storytelling and cultural moments, including what we can learn from campaigns that hit at the right time and why even a small change like a Spotify icon can spark big feelings in a deeply personal product. If you want a sharper CX strategy, better customer journey design, and a clearer brand experience, hit play, subscribe, and share this with someone who owns a form, a flow, or a brand decision. Most entrepreneurs are told the same thing: Grow bigger. Scale faster. Buy more. But what if that's actually the wrong goal? In this conversation, Matt Faircloth shares one of the biggest lessons from decades in business and real estate: success isn't about having the most units, the biggest company, or the flashiest lifestyle. It's about building a business that matches the life you actually want. Too many entrepreneurs chase someone else's definition of success, only to discover they've built a business they no longer enjoy. In this clip, you'll learn: • Why bigger isn't always better • The hidden downside of endless scaling • How to define success on your own terms • Why focus beats chasing shiny objects • The importance of work-life balance in entrepreneurship • Building wealth without sacrificing your life Whether you're an entrepreneur, real estate investor, business owner, founder, or someone pursuing financial freedom, this message is a powerful reminder that your business should serve your life—not the other way around. Sometimes, doing fewer deals, saying "no" more often, and focusing on what you truly enjoy leads to greater long-term success than constantly chasing the next milestone. If this message resonated with you, like the video, subscribe, and share it with another entrepreneur who needs this reminder !! This week on The Starting Messy Podcast, I'm sitting down with Ambrosia Carey — salon owner, business consultant, and host of the Successful Stylist Academy podcast — for a conversation that started with a single word swap that changed everything for me. I've been talking about confidence on this show for a long time. Ambrosia showed me it was never confidence I was chasing. It was certainty. We get into her “5% method” — the practice of doing the one most painful task of your day, in just over an hour, as a way of proving to yourself you can be trusted. Because here's the thing: self-trust isn't built by getting it all right the first time. It's built by keeping small promises to yourself, over and over, until you have evidence you can't argue with.We talk about the hedonic treadmill, why our brains chase artificial pleasure instead of leaning into discomfort, and why so many of us — stylists, salon owners, high performers of every kind — are running from the very thing that would actually move us forward. Ambrosia also gets honest about the ego, the not-enoughness she inherited from her parents, and the moment she realized people genuinely don't care what you're doing nearly as much as you think they do. That's it, that's the whole thing, and it's more freeing than it sounds. In this episode, we cover:Why “certainty” is a more honest word than “confidence” — and how to build itThe 5% method: a simple daily practice for rebuilding self-trustHow the hedonic treadmill keeps us chasing pleasure instead of growthReverse-engineering your “if I just had ___” thinkingLetting go of control, curiosity over judgment, and why community gets smaller (and deeper) as you do this work personal development podcast for hairstylists, confidence vs certainty, self-trust for hairstylists, salon owner mindset podcast

You don't need a bigger following. You need one real conversation with the right person. That's the uncomfortable truth new coaches avoid, because it's easier to post another Instagram Reel than to sit across from someone and ask what they're actually struggling with. Adam sits down with Candy Motzek, a coach for coaches who left a high-pressure corporate leadership role (and a severe burnout that once made her forget her own phone number) to build a business helping professionals and senior leaders become coaches without quitting their identity in the process.Candy's story doesn't start with a business plan. It starts on a cruise ship headed toward Cape Horn, terrified of waters she'd built up in her head as dangerous, only to sail through them flat calm and sunny. That single moment cracked open a bigger question: how many other things had she talked herself out of before ever testing whether the fear was real? Two weeks later she was in her first coach training. What makes this conversation useful isn't the origin story, though. It's what Candy does with new coaches once they've made the leap. She doesn't send them straight to social media. She has them run a research project or survey with the exact people they want as clients, which does two things at once: it hands the new coach language and authority they didn't have to invent, and it puts them in direct conversation with future clients before they've built anything to sell. What you'll learn:Why the fear you're avoiding is usually bigger in your head than in reality, and how to test it instead of managing around itHow to build authority as a brand new coach using research conversations and surveys instead of a followingWhy one-on-one clients are the right starting point before group programs or mastermindsThe real math behind coaching pricing, and why your old salary has nothing to do with what you should chargeWhy "coach goes first" isn't a slogan, it's the actual reason coaches need coachesHow to reconnect with what you loved before titles and responsibility buried itCandy's clearest reframe: most new coaches think they need permission or visibility before anyone will pay them. What actually signs clients is a real, curious conversation with someone who already trusts you, which means the exposure-first approach most new coaches default to is solving the wrong problem entirely.Notable quote:"If you believe that people should pay you to be a coach, then you should be investing in your own coaching too." — Candy MotzekGuest bio:Candy Motzek is a coach for coaches who helps professionals and senior leaders build coaching businesses without abandoning their existing expertise. Craig introduces the idea of a "receiving conflict," explaining that many people don't have a money problem, but rather an unconscious resistance to receiving more because of limiting beliefs, fear, or the need to struggle. He challenges listeners to shift from scarcity to sufficiency, reminding us that money isn't asking if we're worthy, it's asking if we're available. Through personal stories and practical reflection, Craig encourages us to release the belief that success must be difficult and instead create the internal safety that allows greater opportunities, wealth, and abundance to flow naturally. This episode is a powerful reminder that the life you're praying for often begins the moment you stop rejecting what is already trying to find you.0:15 Why You're Rejecting Abundance Without Realizing It0:45 The Hidden Receiving Conflict Holding You Back01:35 Becoming Available for More02:09 The Belief That Changed Craig's Relationship With Money03:05 From Scarcity to Receiving AbundanceEarly Bird Tickets now available for our October live event, CLS: Formation HERE:To join our community click here.➤ To connect with Craig Siegel follow Craig on Instagram➤ Order a copy of my new book The Reinvention Formula today! ➤ Join our CLS texting community for free daily inspiration and business strategies to elevate your day, text (917) 634-3796➤ INSTAGRAM➤ FACEBOOK➤ TIKTOK➤ YOUTUBE➤ WEBSITE➤ LINKEDIN➤ X

If you've been doing "all the right things" and still not seeing it stick, this episode is for you.

After a decade in Big Four audit and private equity finance, Brendan Morahan saw two partner-track opportunities collapse in the space of six months. He didn't set out to start BPM CPA, but he found himself in December 2023 with few good options and a lot of hard-won opinions about how small firms were getting it wrong. Within three years he had built a million-dollar practice by doing almost the opposite of what most firm owners do. In part 1 of this special two part conversation with John Randolph on Episode 93 of CPA Life, Brendan makes a pointed case that the traditional partnership model is losing its pull on the most capable people in public accounting, that the tax manager role is the single most critical and irreplaceable position in any small firm, and that advisory isn't a service tier you can bolt on. It's either already in your nature, or it just isn't. Get the full show notes and more resources at CPALifePodcast.com

Make the Big Time Where You Are | Why the Best Coaches & Entrepreneurs Stop Chasing the Next Opportunity Everyone wants a bigger opportunity—a larger business, more clients, a better job, or the next big breakthrough. But what if the fastest path to those opportunities is becoming exceptional exactly where you are? In this episode of The Winning Coach, Pat Rigsby shares one of the most impactful lessons of his coaching and business career: Make the big time where you are. Drawing from his experience as the youngest college baseball head coach in the country, Pat explains how he went from constantly chasing the next opportunity to building a nationally competitive program by maximizing the resources he already had. He then connects that same philosophy to over two decades of coaching fitness business owners and entrepreneurs, showing why sustainable success comes from mastering your current situation before looking for something bigger. Along the way, he shares stories from elite baseball coaches, successful gym owners, and respected business leaders who built remarkable careers by focusing on excellence, player development, operational systems, and long-term thinking instead of constantly pursuing the next shiny object. If you're a gym owner, entrepreneur, business coach, leader, or anyone striving to build something meaningful, this episode offers a practical blueprint for creating opportunities through consistent execution rather than constant expansion. In this episode you'll discover: Why "the grass is greener" thinking limits your growth The leadership lesson that changed Pat's coaching career How maximizing today's opportunities creates tomorrow's success Why the best business owners build systems before they scale Lessons from successful college baseball coaches and entrepreneurs Why staying committed to your niche can outperform chasing trends How excellence attracts bigger opportunities naturally The mindset every coach, business owner, and leader needs for long-term success Who this episode is for: Independent gym owners Fitness business owners Business coaches Entrepreneurs Leadership professionals Sports coaches Small business owners Anyone looking to build a business that lasts If you've ever found yourself wondering whether you should expand, switch industries, pursue another opportunity, or simply stay the course, this episode provides a refreshing perspective on building lasting success. Remember: Bigger opportunities aren't usually found—they're earned by making the most of the opportunity you already have. In this episode of the Loan Officer Podcast, host Dustin Owen is joined by Marketing Mike and Karina Mojica for an in-depth discussion on career progression for mortgage loan originators. Together, they take a comprehensive look at the typical journey of a loan officer, examining the various stages and transitions that professionals encounter as they advance in their careers. Dustin challenges the widespread assumption that moving into branch management or divisional management is the ultimate solution to career frustrations and plateaus. Instead, he argues that most loan officers would benefit more from developing stronger business systems and adopting an operator's mindset, which can lead to greater satisfaction and success within their current roles. Throughout the episode, Dustin methodically breaks down each stage of the mortgage loan originator's career path, starting with the rookie phase and moving all the way up to the divisional manager level. He outlines the realistic expectations, responsibilities, and potential pitfalls associated with each position, providing listeners with a clear understanding of what it truly means to progress within the industry. The conversation highlights the importance of setting achievable goals and maintaining a long-term perspective, rather than seeking quick fixes or assuming that a promotion will automatically resolve underlying issues. Key takeaways from the episode include the necessity of consistent lead generation, the value of reinvesting in your business, and the importance of building scalable processes that support both professional growth and personal well-being. Dustin, Mike, and Karina emphasize that achieving work-life harmony and long-term success in the mortgage industry requires a strategic approach, ongoing self-improvement, and a willingness to adapt. By focusing on these core principles, loan officers can create sustainable careers that offer both financial rewards and personal fulfillment. TLOP's Originator Coaching:

In this final episode of the antisocial series, Dr. Greg unpacks why a retreat high or a powerful devotional moment can convince you the healing is done — when the actual work hasn't started yet, and why that work happens in the small, unglamorous moments nobody puts on a holy card.  Key Topics: Why the most moving retreat of your life can leave you exactly the same — and what actually changes you What "magical penance" reveals about the parts of us that prefer grand gestures to real repair Why healing happens in what you do on an ordinary Tuesday, not in the moments when everything breaks open How a soft heart and a defenseless heart are not the same thing — and why that distinction changes everything Why the urge to be "healed already" is itself a form of the pattern you're trying to change Why re-hardening after you've opened up isn't failure — it's part of doing the reps Learn More: Earlier in this series on the Antisocial Defense Patterns: Antisocial Part 1 — Ep. #281: Control or Be Controlled: The Devastating Wounds Behind Antisocial Behavioral Patterns Antisocial Part 2 — Ep. #282: You're (Probably) Not a Serial Killer—But You May Share Some of Their Antisocial Traits Antisocial Part 3 — Ep. #283: "I Will Never Be Hurt Again": How Jesus' Sacred Heart Breaks the Cycle The Wounded Healer by Henri Nouwen — the book Dr. Greg references on accompaniment and the standard of showing up, not being healed Person and Act by Karol Wojtyła (Pope St. John Paul II) Love and Responsibility by Karol Wojtyła (Pope St. John Paul II) Previous episode on boundaries: Ep. #254: Navigating "Toxic" Relationships: Setting Boundaries Without Losing Charity Start of the Being Human series on the Histrionic Defense Patterns: Ep. #274: To Be Loved Is to Perform: Inside the Histrionic Compulsion for Attention and Validation Start of the Being Human series on the Borderline Defense Patterns: Ep. #269: BORDERLINE: The Push-Pull Between a Fear of Abandonment and Annihilation Start of the Being Human series on the Dependent Defense Patterns: Ep. #265: Jerry Maguire, Gollum, and the Fear of Not Existing Start of the Being Human series on the Narcissistic Defense Patterns: Ep. #261: Narcissism and the Terror of Being Ordinary Need help? Most video business owners are stuck chasing reach when what actually grows a business is resonance. In this episode, storytelling and speaking strategist Jay Acunzo joins me to break down why mattering more to the right people beats marketing to everyone, and how to communicate with enough conviction that clients seek you out instead of the other way around. If you're tired of competing on price and ready to become your market's favorite, this conversation will shift how you show up. Key Takeaways Resonance beats reach. People don't take action because you reached them, they take action because they actually care. Jay's 6-part "dialogue outline" walks a client from "how does this help me?" all the way to "I'm in, how do I start?" Don't try to be different from your competitors. Aim to be refreshing to your specific market instead. Get into your client's journey early as their "running buddy" rather than waiting at the finish line to capture demand. About Jay Acunzo Jay Acunzo is a public speaking and storytelling advisor trusted by bestselling authors, TED speakers, seven-figure coaches, and brands like Mailchimp, Wistia, and Salesforce. In episode 369 of The Real Jason Duncan Podcast, most high earners are sprinting toward a number that will never set them free — and the worst part is, everything around them says they're winning. Edward Collins, president and CEO of Up Level by Design, learned this truth the hard way. The year he finally hit seven figures in revenue, his accountant handed him a $352,000 tax bill — and in that single moment, across a mahogany desk buried in paper, his entire worldview shifted. He wasn't a millionaire. He'd made a million. There's a brutal difference. And if no one has ever explained that difference to you, this episode is going to cost you nothing and save you everything. In this episode, Jason and Edward break down: Why more income is a vanity metric — and what actually builds real wealth The exact moment Edward realized gross means nothing without net How the tax code is a recipe book, not a system designed to rob you The difference between assets and liabilities (and why most people have it backwards) Why your "stuff" isn't success — it's a liability parade you're funding The financial freedom formula in 10 words that changes how you see money forever How to stop the biggest wealth leaks: taxation, lifestyle drift, and capital misallocation Why being in the right room with the right people is the real shortcut to wealth What it costs you — over a decade and across generations — to stay inside this lie The one thing every entrepreneur should do first before investing a single dollar If you've ever gotten to the end of a great income year and wondered where the money went — this conversation is your answer.

Many investors focus on one thing: getting more units. But what if growing your portfolio is actually creating more problems? In this episode, Gino Barbaro breaks down one of the most important distinctions every real estate investor and entrepreneur needs to understand: the difference between growing and scaling. Growth often means increasing revenue by adding more resources, more expenses, and more complexity. Scaling, on the other hand, is about creating systems, improving efficiency, increasing profitability, and building a business that can expand without demanding more of your time. If you're chasing bigger numbers without knowing your profit margins, occupancy rates, delinquency metrics, or operational KPIs, this conversation is a must-watch. In this episode, you'll learn: ✅ The difference between growing and scaling a real estate business ✅ Why "Revenue is vanity, profit margin is sanity, and cash is king" ✅ How to measure Profit Per Unit (PPU) ✅ The systems every multifamily investor should implement ✅ Why operations determine long-term success ✅ The importance of SOPs, KPIs, and customer retention ✅ When to pause acquisitions and focus on infrastructure ✅ How Jake & Gino scaled from zero to over 1,900 units Whether you're managing your first rental property or operating a large multifamily portfolio, these principles can help you build a stronger, more profitable business. Key Takeaway: Don't grow faster than your systems can support. Build the foundation first. Strengthen your operations, improve cash flow, create leverage, and then pursue expansion with confidence.
