Big Rick is originally from Evansville, IN and has done his fair share of jumping around. Unlike other episodes where we put context to a jock's resume, Rick and I really dove into the current state of radio and what radio will look like in the future. We had some good laughs, some deep insight, and shared some radio stories about working for small and large companies. Johnny O's voice has echoed through the Upper Ohio Valley (Southeastern Ohio, Northern Panhandle of WV, & Southwestern PA) for decades! You would be hard pressed to find someone that HASN'T heard of Johnny O. He's one of the rare breeds that did the radio DJing AND the mobile DJing. He and I worked together in 2005 when I was first hired for my first full-time gig at 100.5 WOMP-FM. Stuff that he taught me then stuck with me all the way through my career. We are up and running!  Welcome to NOT the first episode of the Face for Radio Podcast.  This is just a preview of what you can expect.  Actually, most of the podcasts won't be like this at all, well, maybe a little.  In this NOT episode, I actually was doing the interview sitting across the desk from my interviewee.  In the future, all of the interviews will be done over the phone.  Well, unless they want to drive to Central PA...  I sat down with my partner in this whole podcast endeavor, Ryan DJ PUFF Downes to discuss his radio career.  Puff set up a pretty sweet podcast studio in his attic, which is where I will be recording the future Face For Radio pods.  Turns out, if I want to launch the podcast on the 13th, you gotta do a liiiiiitle pre-requisite work before that.  So here we are. The first official podcast episode will launch on November 13th.  My goal is for it to be a weekly podcast with a new radio personality each week.
