Podcast by FLO Blockchain
In this episode we interview the developers at Ranchi Mall and the incredible work they've done using the FLO blockchain.
In Episode 3 of the FLOverse Podcast, FLO Blockchain developers Joseph Fiscella and Davi Ortega are joined by the co-creator of Open Index Protocol Devon James and FLO community member Martin Adams. The team interviews Devon about the Trinity Project which is a token automining and distribution platform that operates at the protocol level, allowing users to get access to tokens without having to participate in a formal exchange. The autominer accrues tokens via performing the proof-of-work that secures the FLO network and pools those tokens to be sold to content publishers that want to utilize OIP. There are 3 functions to this project: Spartan is the bot for profitable mining, Merchant is the bot for distribution to the network , and Trinity represents the arbitrage between 3 markets: BTC – Hashrate – Alts. The team discusses the nature of profitable mining, bitcoin ATMs, hashrate markets, regulation and arbitrage. In this episode, Joey hosts Davi Ortega to discuss his latest project: DDX, The Distributed Database of Anything. Davi explains the fundamentals of the next release of the Open Index Protocol (OIP), and how it can be used to create an infrastructure that allows anyone to build a distributed database of anything in minutes. Davi also gives the audience a demo of two databases he created for his unique use case. Davi, as a Postdoctoral scholar at Caltech is using DDX to publish over half a million electron micrographs of environmental samples in the only open public space on the internet: The FLO Blockchain. In Episode 2 of the FLOverse chat, FLO Blockchain developers Joseph Fiscella and Davi Ortega are joined by FLO community members Martin Adams, and Channing Cox. The team gives listeners a summary of what FLO is, what Proof of Work does and why it is important. Davi explains Shared Secert and how splitting up private keys can allow for groups to keep info secret while making the data public (wHaT?) Joey discusses how FLO and it’s Open Index Protocol (OIP) allow for “Token Controlled Assets” whereby creators gain control over their content at the protocol level and how in the future data providers can integrate this feature into their own platforms. The team reviews a UAE Tech Podcast, OIP’s history, Section 230 and the future of indexing and censorship. Davi wraps the convo by giving a preview of his latest work: DDX, a distributed database of everything.
