The 62nd Annual Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade in 2018 took place on the day of St. Patrick's Day itself. Hear the sounds of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Pipes & Drums kick off the parade from in front of City Hall followed by the greetings of spectators, including  then-Mayor Harry Winthrop and  6-year-old Roman Twomey, whose his Middletown police officer dad Sean Twomey relinquished the PA of his patrol car. Federal regulators and advocacy groups have long been calling attention to the serious risks associated with antipsychotic medications when prescribed for nursing home residents with dementia. Yet nursing home antipsychotic drugging rates are above the state and national average at four of the six licensed facilities in Newport County. Why so high?
