During our third podcast episode, our geniuses talked about the difficult balance between technology and life/school/work. Throughout the podcast, the geniuses gave a ton of helpful tips to keep you in “the zone” while working, such as putting your phone on do not disturb. Another point they mentioned was how overstimulating technology could be. We all know that everyone is constantly getting notifications. Now that some students are dependent on technology for school, it is even more difficult not to feel overwhelmed with all of the tabs and assignments open. The final point the geniuses made was how technology is made to keep your attention and how it's designed to keep the user reliant on technology. They note that to step away from technology, we must understand the game of technology to break the addiction cycle. This episode is all about how to create a better relationship with technology - a healthier relationship allowing us, as a society, to become more involved as a community instead of being involved with our technology.
