Inside the Mind of QuaranTEENS was made by Pooja Jain, a high school senior. Pooja is an executive leader of #ZeroReasonsWhy, a local teenage suicide prevention campaign. In this time of uncertainty and isolation, many teenagers are experiencing more mental health struggles. She created this podcast to show these teens they are not alone. Pooja works with other teenagers in the community to give advice on how to get through these tough times.
Today, Pooja Jain is joined with two of her friends Connor Carson and Kyle Odgers. In this episode, they talk all things sports: seniors missing their senior season, sophomores and juniors missing their season to be recruited, and even Olympians missing the Olympic season this year. They also talk about the process of sports coming back as it is something that unifies communities, especially during uncertain times.
This week, Pooja Jain diverts from her normal podcasts to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement. The guests for this episode are two local Black teens, Christina Onuzuruike and Munachi Okuagu. These two strong and passionate ladies talk about the movement from their eyes and how they feel living in society right now. POC mental health is also addressed.
