This episode was sponsored by Cardiff & Organic Gorilla LightSpeed VT: https://www.lightspeedvt.com/ Dropping Bombs Podcast: https://www.droppingbombs.com/ Today's Dropping Bombs episode features Thomas Edwards — a surfer and snowboarder who got tired of eating garbage on the mountain and in the water, became a certified trainer, and eventually turned a home kitchen recipe into Organic Gorilla, a San Diego-based nutrition brand built from scratch with zero outside funding. Thomas breaks down why the modern food industry is slowly poisoning you, how the FDA's labeling requirements are designed to confuse — not protect — and why his date-based, seed-oil-free, USDA organic nutrition bar exists to fix what every other bar gets wrong. He also gets into XRP, cold wallets, why banks don't want you understanding crypto, and the case for holding while everyone else panics. This guy built his brand on real ingredients, real money, and a real conviction that most people don't know what they're actually eating. After this conversation, you will.
On Episode 303 of Outside The Round, Matt Burrill sits down with East Tennessee native Thomas Edwards. From playing SEC football at the University of Tennessee to working at Tractor Supply and eventually landing a record deal with Warner Music Nashville, Thomas shares the unlikely journey that brought him to Music City. The conversation dives into his upcoming EP High Times, recorded at the legendary FAME Recording Studios, the inspiration behind the project, and why he wanted to capture real, human-made music with some of Nashville's best players. Thomas also reflects on songwriting, working with artists like Ne-Yo and Quavo, his love for East Tennessee culture, and the lessons he's carried from football into the music business. Packed with stories, laughs, and plenty of Tennessee pride, this episode is a look at one of Nashville's most unique rising artists. Walter Lippmann was arguably the most recognized and respected political journalist of the twentieth century. His "Today and Tomorrow" columns attracted a global readership of well over ten million. Lippmann was the author of numerous books, including the best-selling A Preface to Morals (1929) and U.S. Foreign Policy (1943). His Public Opinion (1922) remains a classic text within American political philosophy and media studies. Lippmann coined or popularized several keywords of the twentieth century, including "stereotype," the "Cold War," and the "Great Society." Sought out by U.S. Presidents and by America's allies and rivals around the world, Lippmann remained one of liberalism's most faithful proponents and harshest critics. Yet few people then or since encountered the "real" Walter Lippmann. That was because he kept crucial parts of himself hiding in plain sight. His extensive commentary on politics and diplomacy was bounded by his sense that America had to adjust to the loss of a common faith and morality in a "post-Christian" era. Over the course of his life, Lippmann traded in his fame as a happy secularist for the stardom of a grumpy Western Christian intellectual. Yet he never committed himself to any religious system, especially his own Jewish heritage. Walter Lippmann: American Skeptic, American Pastor (Oxford University Press, 2023) considers the role of religions in Lippmann's life and thought, prioritizing his affirmation and rejection of Christian nationalisms of the left and right. It also yields fresh insights into the philosophical origins of modern American liberalism, including liberalism's blind spots in the areas of sex, race, and class. But most importantly, this biography highlights the constructive power of doubt. For Lippmann, the good life in the good society was lived in irreconcilable tension: the struggle to be free from yet loyal to a way of life; to recognize the dangers yet also the necessity of civil religion; and to strive for a just and enduring world order that can never be. In the end, Lippmann manufactured himself as the prophet of limitation for an extravagant American Century. We also unpack why Organic Gorilla bars deliver both clean nutrition and real flavor, challenging the idea that eating well has to feel like punishment.

Co-Host Thomas Edwards (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/wingman) A few episodes ago, my guest talked about a certain dating coach local to him in Boston who he had hired. I enjoyed the stories he told so much, that I asked him to make the introduction. And guess what? This week my guest is none other than that dating coach himself, Thomas Edwards. Not surprisingly, he and I think a lot alike on matters of dating, attraction and seduction. In fact, both of us are happily married and yet still take men out in-field to get better at meeting women. That's first on the docket for discussion. Then we turn our attention toward whether or not it is warranted to be optimistic about men and women in relationship together, despite all the negativity out there. So, what does Thomas mean when he talks about 'gamifying your masculininty'. Well, the first hint is it is NOT about tricks, tactics or anything else that comes to mind when you think of the old-skool pickup artist movement. We're talking about re-imagining the entire concept here. Why is it that we as men love gaming electronically, but we hesitate to be playful in real life? How can we keep score of this new 'game' we play in the quest to be more masculine and attractive? And how do we actually win? Finally, what does what Thomas calls 'authentic polarity' have to do with all this? Part two of our series on shading, this time with a return appearance from Tom Dollard of Pollard Thomas Edwards who joined us in January 2023 to talk about lazy thinking. Ostensibly, this time we met to talk about the Good Homes Alliance design guide for shading, as a follow-up to December's episode with Zoe De Grussa. On reflection we realised that the guide does a good enough job without us disecting it, so we spent more time discussing why such a guide is necessary, how the industry needs to change, and why it's struggling to do so (culture, economics, and politics…the usual).Content warning: it is a very rambling episode but in spite of its very loose sense of direction the conversation does cover a lot. The warning is just because we only really talk about shading 20 minutes in, so heads-up if you read this before you start listening. Also, it's a very UK-heavy discussion because those were the conditions in which the research was created, but they're pretty-much analogous for a great deal of Ireland, North America, and probably great swathes of Europe too. Please check the link below, download the PDF, read it, and share it - it's a brilliant piece of work.Notes from the showTom on LinkedInThe Pollard Thomas Edwards websiteShading for housing: Design guide for a changing climate, published by the Good Homes Alliance in collaboration with the BBSA**SOME SELF-PROMOTING CALLS TO ACTION**We don't actually earn anything from this, and it's quite a lot of work, so we have to promote the day jobs.Follow us on the Zero Ambitions LinkedIn pageJeff, Alex, and Dan about websites, branding, and communications - zap@eiux.agency; Everything is User ExperienceSubscribe and advertise with Passive House Plus (UK edition here too)Check Lloyd's Substack: Carbon UpfrontJoin ACANJoin the AECB Join the IGBCCheck out Her Own Space, the renovation and retrofit platform for women (but not in a patronizing way)**END OF SELF-PROMOTING CALLS TO ACTION**

This episode's guest is with modern day cupid, Thomas Edwards. He created a coaching business – The Professional Wingman – 14 years ago that helps singles find long-term love with quality, compatible partners. He is responsible for nearly 400 marriages, engagements, and relationships with ZERO divorces on record. At the peak of his success, he realized he was unhappy, lost, and unfulfilled. Along with depression fueled by substance abuse, nearly losing everything, including his life, Thomas had a deep spiritual awakening, which led him to focus on what makes him happy, rather than chasing success. He created a methodology which allows you to gamify anything -- from relationships to spirituality -- to have fun becoming your best self. After noticing a theme amongst dads who were struggling in their marriage, Thomas created a second coaching business. The Marriage Wingman helps struggling dads get their swag, wives, and marriages back so they can keep their family together. He works with dads to unlock the full potential of the life they want to live. Insidious misconceptions, false myths, and the lazy thinking pervades the green building sector, we're not happy about it, and nor are the authors of 'Building for 2050 Low cost, low carbon homes'. What if fun could transform your life? Thomas Edwards Jr. had made it to the top of the world. He was The wingman, helping people from all over the world create romantic relationships. Before he knew it, success was at his doorstep. When his mother showed him the article about him in the Wall Street Journal that was proof. The peak was his interview on the Steve Harvey Show. And his fall was at the after party. He realized he was filled with an inexplicable emptiness. It terrified him. It didn't go away the next day, or the next, or the next. And he didn't know what to do about it so he tried to drink it away. Things went from bad to worse until he rediscovered what was missing — play. Pure, unadulterated fun and joy. After doing all the “right things” to recover, reconnecting with fun was Thomas Edwards Jr.'s winning strategy to save himself. Talking Points: The four treasures under the umbrella of fun. What happens when you make life about having fun and winning is the byproduct. How to become unrecognizable, in a good way, even to your wife. The danger of living someone else's dream. What types of boundaries can keep a troubled marriage together? What to expect when your life isn't what it appears to be. The internal attitude you need to win the game of life. The importance of having someone to talk with about your feelings. The indignity of living a life as someone you're not. The magic of reconnecting with purpose. The benefits of not living on autopilot. Bio Thomas Edwards Jr. is an innovative visionary of maximizing fulfillment in life. Using his unique, game-like methodology for high-level transformation, Edwards works as a playfulness coach for professionals, leaders, and businesses who seek to level up their purpose, joy, passion and achievement. In this episode, we interviewed transformational coach and writer, Thomas Edwards. Thomas talks about his history first as a wingman coach, which he did to help people figure out if they wanted to be in a relationship, and then help people get into a relationship. Thomas goes into how to reprogram the fear settings in our brain to ultimately reach success and shares a great quote that summarizes this: “to have what you've never had before, you have to do something you've never done before”. Later in the interview Thomas gives us a great perspective on playing video games that some may have never heard of. He shares how playing video games has been a source of happiness as well as an anxiety relief. Thomas ends the interview with a lasting message, to live life as if they were just given a second one.
