If you love the juicy details on how to name and express desire for yourself and with your partners, then you have arrived. Welcome to Love Under The Patriarchy, episode 7 - aka Tell Me What You Want, What You Really Really Want - as expressed by our incredible buds, Jack and Jay. Christeen and I get deep with our visiting friends about polyamory, the intensional love and care it takes to make that work, and how that love and care ripples into our other relationships and community as a whole. The truest love under the patriarchy is taking care of ourselves and one another, so let's get into it!

In this episode of Love Under The Patriarchy, I got to chat with my incredible friend Mood, true rocker and lover. Mood goes deep into how and why he started a new skin care line with his sister, his beautiful family lineage, and the strength that love has with intergenerational healing. We dip into the love queen Bell Hooks, along with some typical LUP curiosity around attachment styles. It really is a beautiful conversation. Not sure how I am so lucky to be in community with such incredible people, but here we have it! Let's go! Also buy this magic product. Alright! Welcome to Love Under The Patriarchy, episode 5, take two! In this conversation, we talk about the work we can do as white settlers to unlearn and dismantle the racist, colonial, capitalist, patriarchal systems of oppression. It's uncomfortable, but mostly exciting to acknowledge the incredible, ongoing, anti racist work being done in communities worldwide. We are thankful for the knowledge, and social justice movements created by black, indigenous and people of color. We have a lot to learn and do, so we added a list of links that highlight some of this incredible work, which can be found down below.  Philippa Jones is a friend and cherished gem of St. John's, Newfoundland. We are so lucky to have Philippa in our community, as an excellent bud and boss executive director of Eastern Edge Gallery. A DOUBLE RELEASE!  We want to give a special thanks and extra shout out to Eastern Edge, who supported this podcast, along with the Love Under The Patriarchy zine! Christeen has done an incredible job with the zine, an absolute labour of love, and we are so honoured at the chance to team up with EE to release them together. You can find the zine online on the Eastern Edge site (link below) or email us for a paper copy. So thank you Eastern Edge team: Anna, Charlotte, and Daniel! So excited about this interview! Let's get into it: Love, boundaries, sex drives and trauma cuz we gotta keep this real. A Beautiful conversation with the smart, soft, and thoughtful human Carla Barton, who I am really thankful for. This is a conversation about mine and Carlas personal experience with love, and does not reflect the realities of everyone, tho I’m stoked if you find comfort and validation in our openness and vulnerability. I also wanna note that these are casual conversations in community, and I am in no way an expert on anything, and I have a lot of learning to do. Which is exciting, because I wanna learn and move forward together, as a community. Since recording this episode, I have partnered with an incredible friend to go at this as a team. Please welcome Christeen, who will be doing a LUTP zine, bringing this conversation to some next level hotness, with the goal as always to continue building safe, loving and accountable communities. Get at us at loveunderthepatriarchy@gmail.com. We are stoked to work with you! Take care and see ya out there! LOVE RULES!
