We look at a story from the 1950's when the world was in an economic boom and sports began to explode as America's favorite pass-time. While the middle-class was growing rapidly, the societal issues of the day were not to be forgotten. As the Drake Bulldogs traveled to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma A & M Aggies in the fall of 1951, a likely racially charge punch to Drake's star quarterback and Heisman frontrunner, Johnny Bright, that broke his jaw and shocked the world.
