Season 2: This season is all about just topics that each of us may struggle with...and I'm not talking about it because I have the answer, but because our journey is done best with those willing to be on it with us. I'm so excited for this season and what God is going to show us through His Word. I'…
This Episode is all about self care. We must be the best us for those around us by taking care of ourselves. This is broken down into 3 categories and each are vital to be the best version of ourselves. Being the best us is one of the most important things we can do for the people we love the most.
This Episode is all about being self aware. Sometimes we overlook what is really going on inside and react in a completely different way. One of my goals right now for myself, is to understand the way I process information, but also the way I give information based upon my emotional health. This sounds simple, but is actually really difficult. In this podcast share my heartbeat behind this and why I believe it is important in our spiritual journey.
My husband, Jason, joined me for our last podcast of the season. You get to hear a lot of laughter, as well as how ministry and being the church has truly impacted our lives and the lives of our children. Ministry and marriage has not been easy, but it has been worth each sacrifice. I was honored for my husband to join me for this last episode and to bring out a side of me that you have yet to hear... Jason truly makes me laugh a lot and if you have met him, you know that already. You will get to hear how our personalities clash, as well as we help one another become who we were created to be for the Kingdom. Marriage and Ministry are not a divided subject in our house.
We have the opportunity to be the best version of ourselves, but we have to make sure stay healthy and whole, not overwhelmed by being too busy. Being too busy can mean mentally or physically, but this weeks challenge is to figure out what is best for you and your family. Let's dive in together and try to find that balance for you.
We talk about the amor that God gives us through His Word, as well as how to be prepared for battles, but what about the attitude and effort of our battles? What about the times we want to sit and sulk instead of choosing to stay in the battle and fight for something we already know our God has won? Let's choose to surrender to Jesus each battle we face, because He has won the war!
Do you know a control freak or are you the control freak of the family? Well, I am the known control freak of my family and I have been all of my life. It has taken me time and a lot of understanding to see that God wired me in this way for a reason, but also in a way to challenge me to rely on Him more. I'm grateful for the way I have been wired and you should be too, no matter what! I'm here to help each of us understand our "control freak" side of ourselves and how to rely on Jesus more and why it is important. (Scripture references used: Romans 8:28, Mathew 6:34 and Mathew 19:26)
Having a mentor and being a mentor is something that has been life changing for me in so many ways. The scripture really does show us that we are called to make disciples, and we can do this through mentoring, but we also are called to be mentored. This episode goes over some simple things of having a mentor and being a mentor.
Do you ever question how the Lord can use you specifically for His glory? If so, this is one for you. There is so much the Lord has instilled in you, and I am certain that it's just all in seeing it through the Lord's eyes. Sometimes we overlook the talents the Lord has given us because they come naturally. The question is the things that come naturally to us, how can we use them for God's glory? Let's give in and seek this with Jesus guiding us.
This episode is about how you are on your own journey and no one else’s. Personalizing our relationship with the Lord and how to fill our cups with the right things.
The Sword of the Spirit is a gift that has been given to us to use and defeat the enemy. I love the way scripture describes and breaks down how to properly use the Sword of the Spirit and attack the enemy. This is a fierce message that will drive your relationship with Jesus to the next level.
This episode is completely inspired by the lyrics of the song Prophesy Your Promise by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. "And fear can go to hell, Shame can go there too. I know whose I am. God, I belong to You. And fear can go to hell, Shame can go there too. I know whose I am. God, I belong to You" The devil almost got the best of me, when he came to kill, steal, and destroy my life... but God had a bigger purpose. I'm thankful to serve a God who uses brokenness for His glory.
This episode is all about being honest open and transparent with yourself, God and those around you. This is not a simple task and if we are being real with ourselves, we know that it’s easier to hide who we are... but that is not who we are called to be. Let’s break this down and see how God can get all the glory in being H.O.T. with one another.
This one is all about our mindset and how the Holy Spirit is the one who truly leads us daily. I'm here to tell you my personal experience and also how the Holy Spirit has led Jason and I to do things we never thought were possible!
Are you where you thought you would be this year? When looking at the last 67 days and reflecting… what is different? What made your goals different? What happened that was out of your control? These are the questions I asked myself and now we are going to power through the TRUTH about what God thinks about these last 67 days.
In this session we are going to dive into 2 main concepts of how great our God is to us. We are so undeserving, but yet He consistently loves us through our mess.
In this session the discipline and mindset of my personal journey is given in all 5 ways of being a healthy individual. I give my personal drive and experience to do what I believe at this time is best for my personal relationship with the Lord. I pray this stirs a deeper relationship between you and the Lord after listening to this.
This session goes into detail about what it takes to create balance in your boundaries, so you can stay healthy. Being the person God created you to be is our ultimate goal, but to do that we must make the most of who we are by creating boundaries.
This session is about how exactly one year ago, was suppose to be one of the best days of my life and it turned into the worst day of my life thus far. It’s about the mountain I had to climb, but only with Jesus did I come out on the other side.
This is all about pressing that reset button in your spiritual life to launch you into 2019, with you and Jesus being connected like never before. Don’t do this alone though, join us as we do this too.
This is just a simple 3 step process to get through the holidays, as well as help someone else get through the holidays. This Christmas season, let’s really choose to shine the light of Jesus around us by doing simple things.
In this session I’m going dive into the reality of saying yes to God, and how it’s not necessarily easy, but worth it. Let’s say yes to God in this next year like never before.
During this session I answered some questions about our adoption and our journey to South Dakota. I’m shared more of my heart for adoption as well as how I dealt with all of the ups and downs in this season.
While I’m still trying to process our adoption story, it is one of our most asked questions about our family, so I thought I would share. Know that as I am sharing this, it’s messy, raw and a little jumbled, so if something doesn’t make sense to you, I probably am still trying to figure it out myself. I hope you enjoy how the Smith family grew in 2017!
In this session I’m sharing my heartbeat around my brokenness and how I started walking with the lord.
