Gerry Southern works as the caretaker in the local cemetery. One day, he discovers a grave site has a fresh tunnel bored beside it, and when he peers in, a demon jumps on his shoulder and tries to possess him. The demon has been told by Satan, to return to the living to find another worthy and evil human being to torture after his previous soul went to Heaven due to a wrongful conviction and hanging. However, Satan advises that if he chooses the wrong soul, that is, one whom he cannot corrupt, then he will be tortured for all eternity. Unfortunately, the first candidate the demon chooses is a man who is pure of heart and does not believe in demons, and therefore the demon tries very hard to convince him firstly that he exists and that he must succumb to the demon or else, and secondly, that he is basically a worthy contender for hell. The demon has until daybreak the next day to steal his soul.

Hi folks. Whilst I gather some resources together, I thought I'd start the podcast off with a 14 episode serialisation of "White of a Cow's Eye." I wrote this novel way back in 1997, and published it in 2002. It tells the story of a writer, Ray Bender, who is down on his luck (A little autobiographical? Well, just a bit) who, in a moment of desperation takes on work at the local abattoirs. Curiously, this new working environment begins to shape and change his writing style. It becomes gorier and more bloodthirsty, and the critics are loving it! He begins work on his masterpiece, but before he can complete it, he is fired from his job. In order to finish his book, Ray needs to satisfy his bloodlust. He turns to the workmen who made his life hell in the abattoirs to ignite his creativity. I hope you enjoy the series. I'm hoping before too long to get heavily involved in the "transcendental" side of life as soon as I create contacts and develop content. Thanks for tuning in. Hey, we're always looking for new content, and if you have a story to tell us, well, around here, we are all ears! Bye for now! Peter
Chapter two. Ray discovers what it's like cleaning a Gravitron.
Failed author, Ray Bender, down on his luck and down to his last few bucks: the bills are mounting and life is crashing in around him. What can he do but take the only thing he can find: a job in an abattoirs? At first the grimy taste and stench of death overwhelms him. But as he endures it, he finds new inspiration in his writing, which has taken on a very gory aspect. Soon enough his stories are finding success, and so he embarks on his greatest work: a full length novel! But just as he is about to complete it, he is forced out of the job by cruel and deranged peers who verbally and physically abuse him. Ray decides the only way he can finish his book is if he returns to the abattoirs and enact the final few scenes of brutality against those who made his life hell...
