Don't be fooled by a fantastic display the Chiefs put on late against the Redskins. Remember the first two hours and imagine what the score would have been if the Chiefs were playing a real team. Oh, wait, we've seen that this year. Winning is fun and winning 31-13 is something you never apologize for, but it doesn't seem like the Chiefs have fixed their root problems.
If you had told most Washington Football Team fans before the season that we would have the same record as the Kansas City Chiefs when they came to FedEx Field in Week 6 of the 2021 NFL season, you probably wouldn't have expected it to be because both teams were struggling. Yet here we are, with both Washington and Kansas City sitting at 2-3 and needing a win to keep their seasons alive. Hosts Chad Ryan and Felix Trammell breakdown how this game can be won by Washington, and what it would mean for this team. Twitter: Chad Ryan - @ChadwikoTWW Felix Trammell - @HTTRandBlessed
Even when there's drama for other teams and other individuals across the NFL, somehow Washington is always involved. And it was no different this week when the story broke that Jon Gruden had been sending bigoted emails to then-President of the Washington Football Team Bruce Allen. Once they were made public, Gruden immediately resigned. But how did they become public, why did they become public, and what's coming next? We break down all of that as best we can in 10 minutes. Adam Schefter allowing former Redskins president Bruce Allen to edit and approve a story he wrote has kicked off a heated debate about journalistic ethics, and the guys get to the bottom of what is and isn't acceptable for sports journalists when it comes to the entities they're supposed to be objectively covering- including the student journalists at the OU Daily that have gotten under Head Coach Lincoln Riley's skin. Brett Favre owes the state of Mississippi a whole bunch of money that was meant for needy families, so George and Ralph dissect exactly how culpable he is for accepting the money in the first place. "Blackfishing" is a term trending on social media, and it has to do with white women in pop music making themselves look darker or ethnically ambiguous- the guys wade into the world feminine beauty standards to try and figure this out. The Washington Football team scratched out a victory against division rivals the New York Giants with a 30-29 win at FedEx Field on Thursday Night Football. The victory came on the heels of QB Taylor Heinicke who took fans through the full gamut of emotions whilst doing what was necessary to secure the win, and his former Old Dominion University Monarchs Offensive Linesman team-mate Robbie Duncan was riding every throw, hit, and scramble with him. After all the hype and excitement leading up to this Week 1 match up between the Washington Football Team and the Los Angeles Chargers, the NFL gods have once again reminded us that no one knows anything, ever. The Washington defensive line had a quiet day versus an incendiary Justin Herbert, and starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick injured his hip early in the game resulting in QB Taylor Heinicke to come in and pickup where he left off from the playoffs last season. Buccaneers at Redskins 11/16/14 PFF analyst and RSP alum Dwain McFarland returns to the RSP Cast for a Film And Data conversation with Matt Waldman about NFL teams had significant offseason changes. It's always fun to talk football with Dwain. Our views often complement each other, filling in gaps with our analysis. And when they don't, the divergent views are not only helpful with our individual analysis but provides thought-provoking conversation for listeners. This weekend, Dwain and and sat down for a two-hour film and data conversation about several NFL teams that experienced significant changes during the offseason. We shared some of our projections of key players on those teams as well. We led off with a team that had some underrated changes in terms of health despite really only one key addition to the offense: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here's some of what we discussed: Why we're both all-in on Tom Brady, Mike Evans, and the Buccaneers passing offense approaching records in 2021. Our thoughts on Matthew Stafford's ceiling and why DeSean Jackson is a massive factor for Staffords' ceiling and floor. Figuring out Darrell Henderson. Tyler Higbee disappointed last year but why the thought that Higbee's 2020 campaign is evidence that his ceiling is capped is misleading. Why Jared Cook is not only "free money" in re-draft leagues but his commentary to the media has told us a lot about the Chargers offense. Why both of us have Justin Herbert as a healthy QB1 but the film and data gives Herbert a lower floor than people are discussing. What could make Russell Wilson more efficient in Seattle and why Dwain and Matt differ on Chris Carson in 2021. We'll likely do another show before the season with conversation about Tennessee, Atlanta, and a few other offenses. For the most in-depth analysis of offensive skill players available (QB, RB, WR, and TE), download the 2021 Rookie Scouting Portfolio for $21.95. Matt's new RSP Dynasty Rankings and Two-Year Projections Package is available for $24.95 If you're a fantasy owner and interested in purchasing past publications for $9.95 each, the 2012-2020 RSPs also have a Post-Draft Add-on that's included at no additional charge. Joe Theismann is a former CFL and NFL championship quarterback. Joe played for the Toronto Argonauts from 1971-1973 and continued his career in football with the formerly known Washington Redskins (now known as the Washington Football Team). Joe spent 12 years in the NFL and accrued many accolades including, Super Bowl XVII Champion, NFL Man of the Year 1982, NFL MVP 1983, and 2x Pro Bowler, to name a few. Unfortunately, Joe's career ended when his tibia and fibula snapped on live TV while being sacked by New York Giants linebacker, Lawrence Taylor. After his injury, Joe entered into his career with Sport Broadcasting. On today's episode, Joe has a lot of experience and wisdom to share with us. He is selfless and spends his time helping others reach their potential and goals in this life. My favorite qualities about Joe are his ability to listen well, his intentionality with responses, and his kind demeanor. I know you will love this episode and gain many lil "write it down" nuggets! The winter of 1989-1990 through the winter of 1990-1991 saw the St. Henry Redskins capture the attention of the Buckeye State. Thirty years later, people still want to talk about and marvel over the boys from Mercer County. What if I told you a town of just over 1,300 people with two stoplights produced a senior class that went (51-2) in basketball earning state championships as juniors and senior and (14-0) on the gridiron as seniors. What if I also told you that senior class produced two Ohio State football commitments, 1 Penn State commit, 1 Toledo commit, two NFL players, a two-time All-American, a Pro-Bowler, and a Super Bowl Champion. The group featured Bobby Hoying, Kevin Niekamp, and Scott Brunswick. This story told by Scott Brunswick is one you don't want to miss and likely had to have been there to believe it. Charlie breaks down a jam-packed news weekend and asks the question on the minds of millions of Americans: 'How did we get here?' He unpacks the saga of the Washington Redskins changing their name & logo and offers his suggestions on possible replacement names. And on the subject of sports, Charlie exposes the NBA's anti-Hong Kong propaganda efforts and the sinister double standard therein, all while supporting Senator Josh Hawley's call to subpoena NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. He also offers his take on Robert Mueller & Roger Stone before getting into the American carnage overtaking Democrat-run cities as their Mayors focus on street art and 'Census Cowboys.'
The reason for this Redskins Talk is a somber one, but what comes out of it is something all fans will really enjoy and learn from. This installment is solely devoted to JP Finlay's one-on-one with Joe Jacoby, where Jacoby reflects on the amazing career and life of Joe Bugel, who died over the weekend. During his time on the phone, Jacoby explains what made Bugel such a special coach and tells some seriously captivating stories, including one that features a showdown between Bugel and Russ Grimm. Jacoby also rates Bugel's language on a 1-10 scale and gives his take on who would win in a tussle between Buges and Joe Gibbs. In the end, you are going to come away with a major appreciation for Bugel and further understand why so many people hold him in such a high regard. If you like podcasts where one legend remembers another, then this is the episode for you.
