Hour 1 Yesterday Aaron Rodgers went on Pat McAfee and denied everything Dianna Russini said in the Athletic. It's not surprising he denies everything bad about him. We talked about the Jets search for a new GM and head coach. You cannot bring in assistants to do this job in NY with the Jets. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of Rodgers on McAfee denying the Russini article. He said he hasn't told anybody that he wants to play next year but not for the Jets. He talked about his relationship with Chris Johnson. Malik Nabers has no regrets on what he said but he would change the way he said it. So I guess he has some regrets. He also talked about speaking out even though he's a rookie. We talked about the best looking and ugliest NFL head coaches. Jerry Jones floated the idea of an extension for Mike McCarthy. In the final segment of the hour, Gio keeps getting the Costco Guys and the Rizzler in his social media feeds. The Rizzler has to stay fat now because that's his whole gimmick. What about The Rizzler vs RFK Jr? Hour 2 Josina Anderson said that Daniel Jones is going to announce his new team today. Gio's Vikings are one of the teams in the mix. Boomer said he should not go to the Raiders and should only sign a deal for the remainder of this season. Joe Schoen was at Colorado's practice with Deion Sanders yesterday. A caller brings up the story of a person in Florida going on a golf course and killing a golfer. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Aaron Rodgers on Pat McAfee saying his people don't talk to Dianna Russini. Malik Nabers looked back at the first half against the Bucs and realized they didn't run a lot of plays. Nabers also said he will keep speaking up even though he's a rookie. Dexter Lawrence said the media got it wrong. He said they played soft, not that they are soft. Mike Tomlin said, ‘there's a fine line between drinking wine and squashing grapes'. In the final segment of the hour, you are not allowed to paint your face green to go see Wicked at AMC Theaters. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us in his weekly spot and we started with Daniel Jones being released and then went into the fact that Phil feeds the foxes and deer in his backyard. Phil will be doing the Giants/Cowboys game in Dallas tomorrow. Phil would be surprised if Rodgers is still with the Jets next season with a new head coach and a new GM. C-Lo returns for an update and has audio of Al Cintron vs Brett in Long Island on the overnight shift this morning. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer brought up something to do with Steve Cohen, the PGA and LIV Golf. Boomer thinks Washington is going to bring back the old Redskins logo. Maybe not the name, but the logo. Hour 4 We talked about hot mic situations that could have been a disaster, but weren't. Blake Snell signed a deal with the Dodgers. A caller wonders if the interest in Daniel Jones is because of how well Saquon did after he left the Giants. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with Aaron Rodgers refuting the report he's ready to move on from the Jets. He did say he doesn't know if he wants to play next year. Brian Daboll talked about the injury to Tommy DeVito. His whole body is kind of sore. Juan Soto fooled fans with a ‘big announcement', which was just an energy drink commercial. Kevin Durant said, ‘I'm a Net for life'. We heard Jerry Recco on the call as Rutgers beat Notre Dame. The Moment of The Day: Phil Simms gives us his best fox call. In the final segment of the show, our NFL picks.

They couldn't play in a bowl game. They couldn't play on TV. All they could do was play and win... and win big for that matter. The '74 Sooners were a wrecking ball... the defense led by the Selmon brothers gave up just 92 points. And the offense led by one of the greatest running backs in Oklahoma history, Joe Washington, averaged 43 points a game. They started the season on probation... and they ended it co-national champions. Washington would finish 3rd in the Heisman voting after a sensational junior year and after Barry Switzer's team demolished Kansas State 63-0, the Sooners back was on the cover of Sports Illustrated as he and his teammates were on their way to a perfect 11-0 season. Now, 50 years later, Washington talks about that great team and how they were able to look past being on probation. He spoke of his love of his head coach, Switzer and how he was a 2nd dad to him. He tells us about a night ... a Monday Night... when Howard Cosell introduced the country to Joe as he did something for the Colts nobody else has ever done in the NFL... Threw a TD, caught a TD, and returned a kick for a TD. And he does it while impersonating the iconic ABC sportscaster! Finally, he reminisces about winning a Super Bowl with the Redskins and what it was like sharing a backfield with Hall of Fame Running Back John Riggins. SI cover man Joe Washington is the reason we do this show. A 2-time National Champion & a Super Bowl Champion. He was a great all-around football player and 50 years later, he's still a great all-around guy. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
