Shaktoolik is a community of about 260 people, on a spit of land between the ocean and a river in Alaska's Norton Sound. Erosion and a rising sea level threaten to wash the village away in the next few decades. This podcast will virtually transport you to Shaktoolik, and is designed to be heard while walking in downtown Anchorage, starting at the Anchorage Museum. But if you aren't in Anchorage, or in Alaska, you can still let your ears transport you to the frontier of change.
