In order to be free from guilt or sin we must keep the 10 commandments perfectly. So how is this possible? The only way to righteousness, which means to be right with God, is through Jesus Christ. How do we build muscles? By lifting weights. You are literally tearing the muscles, and through the process of healing they become stronger. It’s known as resistance training. The bible tells us that the purpose of the 10 commandments is to show us how helpless we are without Jesus for salvation. Our sins lead us to Jesus, and you know, our utter failure to change ourselves should cause us to look to Jesus for that also. Being re-born means that God replaces our old sinful spirit and gives us a new spirit that cannot sin. So why do we have a part of us that still loves to sin? In Romans 7, Paul talks about the war within him. Our experiences, as a child of God, move from darkness to light. For example: We are born into the darkness of this world (because of sin) but when we are reborn, the bible says we are translated into the kingdom of light.
