    In this final episode Season 1 of Stuttering Since ’02, Jared sits down for a conversation with Polly Martin, who was his chemistry teacher for two years. They talk about what it’s like to have a student in class who stutters, and some of the ways Ms. Martin adapted her expectations of Jared in class because of his stutter.     In this episode of Stuttering Since ’02, Jared’s grandfather, affectionately known as “Poppy,” sits down to talk about Jared’s stuttering journey. Poppy had a mild stutter as a child, and describes for Jared how he overcame it. As the only family member with personal experience stuttering, Poppy brings a very personal perspective to his grandson’s stutter and was instrumental in Jared making the decision to return to speech therapy after a break of a few years.     Before podcasts, the Internet and conventional understanding of speech pathology, it was a very different experience for young people who stuttered. A family friend who has watched Jared on his journey also grew up with a stutter. It was a completely different era, though, and Kevin faced bullying, misunderstanding and a dearth of resources compared to what is available today.
