Last Wednesday, the Carnation Chamber of Commerce hosted a Candidate Forum to give the community a chance to meet the candidates for City Council. Due to time constraints, the candidates did not get to deliver closing statements, so I wanted to share mine. Additionally, I’d like to encourage everyone to vote, and tell five friends to vote. #closingstatements #tell5tovote #vote

Welcome to the next episode of my podcast with Ernest Fix, City Council Position #1, City of Carnation. Ernest and I had a chance to reminisce about our time together on Planning Board as well as discuss the Central Business District (CBD) project as a priority for the city, his thoughts on what it means to be a City Council person, and what might be next for him after the election when he hands the baton over the the next person. As always, I hope you enjoy the conversation, and thanks for listening!

Welcome to the next episode of my podcast with Kim Lisk, Mayor and City Council Position #4, City of Carnation. Kim and I spent over an hour today discussing the priorities of the city, and then some. She and I are both “chatters”, and we could have continued for hours having this discussion. In addition to the priorities of the city, Kim shared a great deal of the history of the City as she has lived her for over 25 years. Additionally, she got a bit personal about how she thinks about public service and how the “half-truths” that are out there impact her individually. Thanks for listening!

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Connor Homes to interview Jim Berger. Currently, Jim holds Carnation City Council position #3, and during this episode of the podcast we discuss his views of the priorities of the city, how we can help businesses during the Central Business District (CBD) construction, and the role developers play in the economic development of cities like Carnation. Jim has been on City Council for the past 10 years and prior he served on Carnation’s Planning Board for three years. His history of the city, it’s growth, and the changes he has seen is an invaluable resource to us all. Happy listening!

Welcome to the next episode of my podcast, and thanks for listening. In my latest episode, which was recorded at Sandy’s Espresso Café on Wednesday, September 4, I interview Jim Ribail, current city council member where we discuss the priorities of the city, how he’d like the community to engage with council, and where he even had a few tough questions for me. We had a ton of fun doing this, and we both hope you enjoy listening as much as we did recording! Enjoy and if there is anyone you’d like me to invite to the podcast or questions you’d like me to ask of interviewees, fill out a Contact form in the Get Involved section of my website.
