Asa Ellerup, estranged wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann, has decided to vacate their longtime Massapequa Park residence. The decision follows extensive police searches that left the home significantly damaged and a loss of emotional attachment to the property. Ellerup and her two adult children plan to relocate to South Carolina, seeking a fresh start away from the intense media scrutiny and the painful associations tied to their former home.During the investigation, authorities seized over 280 firearms from Heuermann's residence, comprising a collection of antique and modern weapons, including items from the Civil War and World Wars I and II. Valued at approximately $300,000, the collection is now the subject of legal proceedings. Ellerup has petitioned for the firearms to be sold, aiming to alleviate financial hardships resulting from her husband's arrest and the subsequent loss of income and health insurance.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Law enforcement's theory about Rex Heuermann keeping his victims captive before killing them is based on the condition of the bodies of victims Sandra Costilla and Jessica Taylor. Investigators believe Heuermann may have held the victims captive to prolong their suffering, as suggested by evidence of restraints, captivity tools, and other signs of prolonged torture found during searches of his properties. This theory is supported by his internet search history, which included searches for sadistic materials and evidence of "play time" or controlled environments designed for extended captivity. Burner phones played a crucial role in leading police to Rex Heuermann, as investigators were able to trace a network of disposable devices used to communicate with the victims and carry out the killings. Authorities discovered that the same anonymous numbers had been used to contact multiple women who were later found dead along Gilgo Beach. Through painstaking digital forensics, law enforcement linked these burner phones to a primary device associated with Heuermann, triangulating locations and tracking pings that matched his home in Massapequa Park and his Manhattan office. Additionally, investigators connected the burner activity to online accounts used to solicit sex workers and search for violent pornography, further tying the digital footprint back to Heuermann. The meticulous tracing of these otherwise untraceable phones ultimately helped build the foundation of the case against him.An unnamed woman has come forward claiming she narrowly escaped from suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann after a disturbing encounter when she was just 18 years old. Working at a Manhattan club in 1996, she says she was asked to deliver cocaine to Heuermann, but the situation quickly turned alarming. Once alone with him, she alleges that he exposed himself and began sharing deeply disturbing pedophilic fantasies. Fearing for her life, she pulled out a taser and held it to his neck, threatening him until he let her go. The woman never reported the incident to police at the time, fearing she wouldn't be believed, but after Heuermann's arrest, she recognized his face in news reports and felt compelled to speak out. Her account adds to the growing pattern of women describing deeply unsettling and predatory behavior by Heuermann long before his 2023 arrest.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
The arrest of Rex Heuermann in July 2023 as the prime suspect in the Gilgo Beach serial killings reignited interest in a slew of unsolved cold cases across the United States. As investigators dug into his background, disturbing patterns emerged—Heuermann had traveled extensively for work, leaving a trail of potential connections to other unsolved murders and disappearances. Law enforcement agencies in states like South Carolina, Nevada, and New Jersey began reviewing old files involving missing or murdered sex workers, particularly those killed under suspicious or ritualistic circumstances that echoed the Gilgo Beach killings. Heuermann's history of owning properties in other jurisdictions, coupled with digital forensic data and cellphone tower pings, prompted authorities to reexamine dormant case files that had long been forgotten. This multi-state reexamination was driven not only by geography but also by methodology. Heuermann's alleged pattern—targeting sex workers, using burner phones, and carefully disposing of remains—mirrored details in other unsolved cases, prompting officials to question whether a long-undetected serial predator had slipped through the cracks. The arrest also sparked broader discussions about law enforcement's past failures to take missing sex worker cases seriously, and many agencies felt increased pressure to review their cold case protocols. As a result, new task forces were formed, DNA evidence was retested using advanced technology, and victim databases were cross-referenced for similarities—all in the hope that the Heuermann arrest might be the key to solving more than just the Long Island murders.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Nancy Grace and Sheryl McCollum discuss the latest on Rex Heuermann and Lori Vallow’s Cases. Sheryl gives a live check-in from the Hamptons, where she describes the quiet tension in a neighborhood trying to move on. She talks about Rex Heuermann’s house, now partially hidden as the family packs up and prepares to leave. Nancy and Sheryl question what this means, if it’s the first step toward tearing the house down, and why that could be a big problem for the trial. They stress how important it is for jurors to see the space where the crimes happened to fully understand the case. Nancy shifts to the latest on Lori Vallow. Representing herself, Lori is facing charges for the murders of her children and her former husband. Nancy and Sheryl walk through the case and how Lori’s strange behavior and beliefs played a role in the crimes. Today I have a brand new case updates episode for you, where I look back over the cases I've covered in the past and share new information!
An organized serial killer is a type of serial killer who exhibits a high degree of planning, control, and premeditation when committing their crimes. Unlike disorganized serial killers, who tend to act impulsively and leave chaotic crime scenes, organized serial killers are methodical and strategic in their approach, making it challenging for law enforcement to apprehend them.Key characteristics of an organized serial killer include:Methodical planning: Organized serial killers carefully select their victims, often based on specific criteria such as appearance, occupation, or vulnerability. They may stalk potential victims to learn their routines and habits before carrying out the murders.Controlled crime scenes: These killers go to great lengths to minimize evidence left behind at the crime scenes. They may bring tools, restraints, or other items to help facilitate the killings and dispose of evidence thoroughly.High intelligence and social skills: Organized serial killers often have above-average intelligence and can be charming and manipulative. This enables them to gain the trust of their victims, making it easier for them to lure them into dangerous situations.Lack of remorse: Organized serial killers typically show little to no remorse for their actions and may even take pleasure in the suffering of their victims.Cooling-off periods: After each murder, organized serial killers usually experience a "cooling-off" period where they maintain a relatively normal appearance and behavior. This period allows them to avoid suspicion and plan their next attack without drawing attention to themselves.Often follow media coverage: Organized serial killers may closely follow news reports and police investigations related to their crimes, sometimes even involving themselves in the investigation to elude capture.Long-lasting crime sprees: Due to their calculated and organized nature, these killers may continue their crime sprees for extended periods before being caught or stopped. In this episode we take a trip back to 2011 and hear from Scott Bonn and several other experts who build a chlling profile of the LISK that proved to be incredibly accurate in the wake of the arrest of Rex Heuermann. During a court appearance on September 27, 2023, prosecutors revealed that DNA from a discarded pizza crust linked Rex Heuermann, the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer, directly to one of the victims. Surveillance teams had retrieved the crust from a garbage can outside Heuermann's Manhattan office. While earlier DNA tests from that evidence had been connected to his estranged wife, a subsequent court-ordered buccal swab from Heuermann himself confirmed that his DNA matched a hair found on the body of victim Megan Waterman. Prosecutors stated this result eliminated any lingering doubt about his connection to the crime scene.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Shannan Gilbert became an unintended hero in the Gilgo Beach murder case after her disappearance in May 2010 inadvertently led police to discover the remains of other women along Ocean Parkway in Long Island. Gilbert, a 24-year-old escort who vanished after visiting a client in the gated Oak Beach community, placed a frantic 911 call claiming someone was trying to kill her. Her disappearance triggered a wide search operation, and although she wasn't found initially, investigators uncovered the remains of four other women—Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello, and Maureen Brainard-Barnes—wrapped in burlap and buried in close proximity. These victims would later be known as the “Gilgo Four.”While Gilbert herself was not initially considered part of the same series of killings, her case is widely credited with drawing law enforcement's attention to what would become one of the most infamous serial killer investigations in modern American history. Although police later claimed Gilbert's death was accidental, her family and supporters rejected that conclusion, believing she was murdered and deserved justice. In this episode we take a trip back to 2011 and hear from Scott Bonn and several other experts who build a chlling profile of the LISK that proved to be incredibly accurate in the wake of the arrest of Rex Heuermann.During a court appearance on September 27, 2023, prosecutors revealed that DNA from a discarded pizza crust linked Rex Heuermann, the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer, directly to one of the victims. Prosecutors stated this result eliminated any lingering doubt about his connection to the crime scene.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
Accused LISK Rex Heuermann's Hair DNA May Never See A Jury, Here's Why In this episode, we break down the high-stakes legal battle playing out in the Rex Heuermann case—accused in the chilling Gilgo Beach serial murders. At the center of it all? A motion to exclude groundbreaking DNA evidence derived from hair samples found on the victims. With no roots, no blood, and no traditional genetic markers, these hair fragments were analyzed using whole genome sequencing, a method never before used in a New York criminal trial. Prosecutors say the science is solid. The defense calls it “magic.” You'll hear exactly how this forensic evidence was gathered, what it allegedly reveals about Rex Heuermann and his household, and why both sides are fighting tooth and nail over its admissibility. We explore the role of Astrea Forensics, the lab behind the testing, and the legal implications of introducing this type of DNA evidence into court. As the Frye hearing unfolds, experts are taking the stand, and even Jurassic Park has made its way into the courtroom. Yes, really. We also examine the defense's strategy to sever the murder charges—arguing that trying all seven cases together would unfairly sway a jury. With the structure of the trial and the admissibility of DNA evidence both hanging in the balance, this case could set a major precedent for how forensic science is used in court. Rex Heuermann, the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer, had plans to retire to a secluded property in Chester County, South Carolina, near his brother, Craig Heuermann. Neighbors reported that Craig mentioned his brother's intention to retire there and potentially buy out surrounding properties. However, following his arrest in July 2023, Heuermann sold this 18-acre property to relatives for $1.In a separate development, Las Vegas authorities have been investigating potential connections between Heuermann and the 2003 murder of 17-year-old Victoria Camara. Camara's remains were discovered in the desert near Boulder City, Nevada. The Las Vegas Police Department conducted a direct comparison of Heuermann's DNA with evidence from Camara's case, with results pendingto contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

As the defense and prosecution being their legal sparring, we learn of crucial new evidence. Then, an in-depth look at the geographic profile of the Long Island Serial Killer and Rex Heuermann make for fascinating observations. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
According to one of the lawyers representing family members of the slain victims, Rex Heuermann might have been working with an accomplice and that accomplice he says, is a female. Authorities have said the oppositte however, and that they believe that Heuermann was working alone. In this episode, we explore the possibility that Heurermann was working with an accomplice and if there is any evidence to back up such an assertion.Rex Heuermann was looking at some very, very disturbing content according to his google search history and as the investigation moves forward, it is gong to provide a road map into the mind of Rex Heuermann as he was being hunted as the alleged Long Island Serial killer. In this episode, we take a look at that search history and how it relates to another man convicted of being a serialk killer, John Bittrolff.John Bittrolff is an American serial killer who was convicted of the murders of two women in New York during the 1990s. He was born in 1966 and worked as a carpenter.Bittrolff's crimes went unsolved for many years until advances in DNA technology led to his arrest in 2014.In 2017, John Bittrolff was found guilty of the murders of two women, Rita Tangredi and Colleen McNamee, who were both sexually assaulted and killed in the early 1990s. The trial revealed that DNA evidence linked him to the crime scenes, leading to his conviction.Bittrolff was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for each murder, with the sentences running consecutively.Bittrolff's case gained attention due to the lengthy time between the murders and his arrest, as well as the use of DNA evidence to solve the cold cases. His conviction highlights the role of forensic technology in solving crimes that might have otherwise remained unresolved.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
Jodi Marie Brewer was a 19-year-old woman from Las Vegas who disappeared on August 14, 2003. Her torso was discovered two weeks later, wrapped in plastic and cloth, near Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County, California. Brewer had been involved in sex work, a factor that has drawn parallels between her case and other unsolved murders of sex workers in the early 2000s. In 2023, following the arrest of suspected serial killer Rex Heuermann, who owned timeshare properties in Las Vegas, authorities began reevaluating Brewer's case for potential connections to Heuermann, offering renewed hope for answers in her unsolved murder.Lindsay Marie Harris was a 21-year-old woman from Skaneateles, New York, who moved to Las Vegas in 2003 with her boyfriend. On May 4, 2005, she disappeared from her home in Henderson, Nevada, after being last seen making a bank deposit. Her rental car was later found abandoned in the desert, and her credit cards remained unused. Weeks later, on May 23, 2005, children discovered severed legs near Interstate 55 in Divernon, Illinois; these remains were identified as Harris's in 2008 through DNA testing.Harris had been arrested multiple times for prostitution in Las Vegas, leading investigators to suspect a connection between her murder and other unsolved cases involving sex workers. Initially, authorities considered Neal Falls, a suspected serial killer, as a potential suspect. More recently, following the 2023 arrest of Rex Heuermann, the alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer with ties to Las Vegas, investigators have revisited Harris's case to explore any possible connections.to contact me: bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
In March 2006, 21-year-old Canadian Jessie Foster disappeared in Las Vegas, Nevada, after becoming involved in prostitution and reportedly being a victim of human trafficking. Her case remains unsolved, with her family, particularly her mother Glendene Grant, tirelessly advocating for awareness and searching for answers. In August 2023, the arrest of suspected serial killer Rex Heuermann renewed interest in Foster's case. Heuermann, linked to multiple murders, owned timeshares in Las Vegas dating back to 2004, prompting authorities to investigate potential connections between him and several unsolved cases, including Foster's disappearance. Grant expressed hope that this development might lead to new information about her daughter's fate.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

A superseded indictment is a legal document that replaces an earlier indictment in a criminal case. It is typically issued by a grand jury when new evidence has been discovered or additional charges need to be brought against the defendant. Here are the key points:Replaces the Original Indictment: The superseded indictment takes the place of the initial indictment, meaning the original charges are either modified, expanded, or entirely replaced.Includes New Evidence or Charges: It often incorporates new evidence or additional charges that were not included in the original indictment.Same Defendant(s): The superseded indictment pertains to the same defendant or defendants as the original indictment.Legal Process: The process of superseding an indictment involves the same legal procedures as issuing the initial indictment, including presentation to a grand jury and approval by a judge.Impact on Case: The issuance of a superseded indictment can affect the legal strategy of both the defense and the prosecution, potentially leading to changes in plea negotiations, trial preparation, and legal defenses. In this episode, we dive into the shocking new superseded indictment filed by the prosecutors against Rex Heuermann, including his "notes."(commercial at 8:02)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Rex Heuermann New Charges Name New Victim - DocumentCloud
