Running about. A lot.
6 months into this year's 12 and things haven't really been going to plan. Here's why and here is why I am now back.
First of all, apologies for the sound quality, but bear with us! Nicola has completed her 10k a day challenge, and we chat about how and why she did this. Every step that Nicola ran was with her son Ryley, who has anaphylaxis, in mind as she ran to raise funds and awareness of the work of the Anaphylaxis Campaign who have provided Nicola with a great source of support and information since Ryley received his diagnosis last November.
12in12 podcast is baaack after a hiatus of goodness knows how long!
ok ok, so not only is it later than I said, but it's super late. I stll sound exhausted (and tbh as I write this I can't even remember what day 5 was like!) I was injured from my fall on day 3, it was still super hot and the hills were almost too much to bear. But, I'm writing this at the end of day 7 - so, spoiler alert, it all worked out.
Day 4... A little later because bad internet, and tired. 4 days and 108 miles done, have arrived in Crieff with a few mishaps along the way. On to Stirling! You can donate at www.12in12.co.uk Thank you xxx
Day 2, another Ultra. 28.4 miles from Aboyne to Braemar. So tired now, updates are hard to do.
A check in on the first day of this years 12in12, 12 marathons in 12 days and a look back on today's ultramarathon run.
With 10 days before the 12 begins I wanted to say a few things as I prepare for what is to come. Now it feels more mental, and I need to keep my head in the game. Also, I am a lot funnier than I sound, it's important people know this.
Little check in from a lazy blogger...and turns out a lazy podcaster too... but for an update on how things are going in the last few weeks before the start of this years 12in12 challenge, also a shameless plug for donations and socks.
Ep 6 - Ego It's VITAL you have one, VITAL! This week Claire talks about having an ego, why she has hers (in part) and why you should have one too, we all need balance, but well all need to know how valuable we are.
Fully in a funk at the moment, but working my way out... here's some advice, go with it and keep on going.
It's hard to talk about this without sounding self helpy, but I wanted to talk a little about taking chances and risks and about the things that we are scared to do. Also I discovered Reddit. Wow.
The background to my 12 in 12, how and why and where the idea came from for me... read from "Mother Running Twelve".
2018 is coming!! We need to make our resolutions, expdect, nope! No, we do not. But do try and drink more water.
