As Jen Sincero says: “If you’re serious about changing your life, you’ll find a way. If not you’ll find an excuse." Do you know what all heroes, winners, have in common? They don’t give up! The don’t make excuses. They don’t stop when it gets hard or when they meet stumbling blocks. And they hit those setbacks along the way. Don’t ever let someone tell you otherwise. No one wins at something they didn’t train at, work on every day, fall on their face for a few times, mess up, hurt and go through pain for. It’s just the way it works. In fact when things feel tough, celebrate, because this means you’re getting close to the finish line. This means you’re climbing the hill to what you’re aiming to achieve. Things often get really bad before they get really good. I want to challenge you to set out with a goal in these last 90 days of your own. Set out to achieve it. Put it in your calendar. Make a game plan. A journal. A mood board. However you need to do it. And then set aside all of the excuses you can think of. Check yourself to see if your procrastinating. Figure out how much time it’s going to take you working on this thing each day to get closer to the finish line. In this weeks episode I'm talking about all of the things I do in the last 90 days of the year to set myself up to succeed. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
We all have insecurities as human beings. Are you more worried about what other people think then about what you truly want in your life? It's time to stop dimming your bright light to fit into someone else archetype. Is insecurity holding you back in life? Listen to this weeks episode and stop shutting down your dreams because your dreams are making someone else uncomfortable! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
Body positivity and self love often get misconstrued for being the same thing. As someone who talks about body image alot I think it's important I discuss the difference. Both of these things have pretty trendy movements surrounding them. But are they the same? I believe that self love is an actual appreciation of yourself from behaviors that encourage all kinds of development on the inside of you. If you are being body positive in that way then yes they do coincide. But if body positivity stops at the outer body, then it isn't self love at all! Listen to here more of my thoughts on this in this weeks episode! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
I think our differences as human beings are what makes us so awesome and I also find it fascinating to hear from others who are unique in their views even if it's something I don't necessarily agree with or practice myself. There are many facets to inclusivity but it's important to recognize that there are all kinds of people and assuming things of other people is unnecessary and unkind. My hope with this podcast is that I bring some awareness on the matter of inclusivity and all that it involves! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
At age 15 Jordan was in a car accident that changed her entire life. It left her paralyzed from the chest down and she went into a deep depression in it's wake. She gradually realized there was hope beyond the devastation this event had caused and that there was life beyond disability. She found youtube while searching for guided meditations to help her recover from the depression and started uploading videos herself. Now her videos on makeup, fashion, and just her life in general get thousands of views. In this interview, we talk about her book "My Beautiful Struggle", how she feels about inspiring and motivating millions of people around the world with her positivity, and what she thinks the future holds for her. Her message: "Stop worrying what others think. Love how you are because you're great as you are." Through sheer determination, resilience, and hard work, Jordan painstakingly learnt how to apply her makeup again and rebuilt her sense of self and empowerment. Her body may have been broken but her spirit was not! She just kept going and achieved so much in the process. I'm so proud and honored to have had the ability to interview Jordan Bone. Remember, if you believe in yourself, you can truly achieve anything. Listen to this weeks episode to learn about believing in yourself even when it feels like all hope is gone. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
In last weeks episode we talked about money mindset and how you can figure out what yours is. We also delved deep into where money mindset comes from. In this one, we are talking about the different money mindsets and what you can do to change yours. With some good habit changes regarding how you think and how you speak to yourself and others it is entirely possible to change your mindset and open yourself up to better things coming your way. Today we break down some of those habits with a hope that we can help others live a more inspired, happy life. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
Money mindset is your approach towards money which then outlines what you decide you believe about money and how it should be used. It effects how you save, spend and invest. It often times will also effect how you look at other peoples interaction with their own money. My belief is that by figuring out where your money mindsets come from and what they are, you can change them and work towards better money mindsets if you'd like to. In my next money podcast, we will talk about how to change your money mindset to a more abundant one and bring abundance to you if you wish! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
I think there are alot of common misconceptions about homeschooling and who better to ask about it then a homeschooler herself? Molly of @themodernhomeschooler proudly homeschools her children. She wishes people wouldn't talk to themselves so negatively when it comes to being able to teach others. She says she'd rather people be ok with not knowing things and talk about it instead of saying it's not ok to be brilliant in everything! I am so grateful that she took the time to speak with me about this subject and I learnt so much in the process. I hope this will be helpful to others curious about homeschooling and for those who may have concepts of what it's like without having researched it at all. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
As humans, it is normal to search for a way to heal when we are hurting. As children, when we scraped a knee, we put a band aid on it. But as adults, the wounds are sometimes different, sometimes more deep and once independent we need to actually be vulnerable enough to open up and use the support of others to heal. Broken trust is a hard thing to recover from. There's alot of work involved personally in ourselves as well that needs to be done in order to truly move forward. In todays episode, I talk about this with the experience of going through this personally in the past months on my mind. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
I've personally gone through the terrible loss of a loved one 2 years ago. So this conversation comes from that background. My hope with this episode is to help others going through loss of loved ones. To support other families who may be enduring the pain of enduring a loved one addicted to drugs and to help our communities understand what drug use really is- a real illness just like cancer. This is a rather heavy first episode. But, get ready, because I am unapologetic in sharing what's on my heart and getting into deep conversations about things that others may not be so ready or comfortable to dig into. My real hope is that I inspire kindness and more positivity in our world! XX. Gitty. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gitty-katz/message
