177 The Creek Kings Case – With Mark Williams What happens when modern poaching meets social media fame? Ohio Wildlife Officer Mark Williams shares the story of the Creek Kings case, an investigation that exposed years of illegal deer hunting hidden behind a successful YouTube channel. What began with a park visitor finding hunting equipment in a metro park quickly grew into a massive digital investigation involving trail cameras, cell phone data, deleted evidence, fake hunting locations, sponsorship money, and some very ambitious trophy hunters. Mark takes us through the case from the first clue to the final sentencing and explains how technology helped both the offenders and the officers who caught them. Ken Carman and Anthony Lima grow visibly frustrated dissecting the QB battle, with Ken finally saying he's ready to call the job for Deshaun Watson and mocking the string of excuses fans have floated for Shedeur Sanders, from the butt-sweat interception theory to whatever comes next. A caller, Nick, argues the competition has effectively been over for a month and that benching Watson for Sanders later is far easier than the reverse, while caller Tony floats a cynical theory that the Browns are intentionally playing their worst quarterback to secure a top draft pick, which Ken shoots down after Tony admits he barely watched the game.

I was with some Canadians recently who all agreed that French would help them professionally. Within a few minutes I had heard three reasons why they hadn't learned it: I can read but I can't speak, the Montreal accent is too hard, and they changed our class this year. Every one of those puts the problem somewhere outside the person saying it. I lived in Hong Kong where nobody spoke Mandarin and I learned Mandarin anyway, because I did the listening and reading. What's the reason you give yourself?

Welcome to Dark Work Daily—the podcast for those willing to do the work no one sees. Here, we dive into resilience, discipline, and perseverance required to unlock your full potential when motivation fades.
Excuses can sound smart, compassionate, even responsible, until you realize they're costing you your life. As Elul arrives and Rosh Hashanah gets closer, we challenge the most common habit we all share: explaining away the gap between what we hoped to do and what we actually did. We bring it back to a simple, uncomfortable question we'll all face: what did we do with the time, talents, energy, and money we were given this past year?We also push back on the popular idea that modern life makes spiritual growth impossible. Yes, the internet is distracting and AI is everywhere. But we argue something stronger: teshuva, repentance, Torah learning, and personal change are more attainable than at any point in history if we add one ingredient discipline. Torah is available in English and many languages. Learning can happen through audiobooks. Help exists for mental health, parenting, finances, and community needs. Access is not the problem anymore; follow-through is.Finally, we get practical about momentum. We talk about hergel naaseh teva, how repeating a hard action turns it into a habit, and why “start today” is not a slogan but a strategy. If you've been carrying a laundry list of reasons, this is your reminder to set it down, choose one next step, and do it.Subscribe for more, share this with someone who's ready to level up for Elul, and leave a review. Grab the free Avatar Workbook, write your first draft down, then sharpen it with our Avatar Creator bot. And if everyone keeps telling you you're killing it, but your revenue hasn't moved in two months and you know there's more in you, book a discovery call and let's find out what's actually stalling it. Follow Geronimo Unfiltered: Spotify Apple Podcasts YouTube Instagram Ryan and I are taking over the pod to fix the biggest problem we see in studios: you think you know who you're for, and what you've actually got is a demographic. Every owner we meet swears they know their avatar. Then they say it out loud and it's "35 to 45 year old mums." That's a census field, not an avatar. And it's exactly why the ads feel like shouting into a crowded room of people who don't care, because if your avatar is everyone, it's no one. We ran this exercise as a live workshop this week and watched owners articulate who they're actually for, some for the first time ever. The messages were still coming in that night saying it finally clicked. So we're walking you through the same six steps we take every studio inside the academy through, in about the same 30 minutes we spend doing it with our clients. And here's the kicker: none of it has anything to do with what you do inside your gym. Pen and paper for this one, it's a writer downer. In this episode you'll hear: Why specific is not narrow, and how actively repelling the wrong people is what fills your studio with the right ones The six questions that uncover the fear your best members have never said out loud (the depth of your conversations determines the depth of your pockets) A live role play that starts at "I want more Pilates coaching" and ends at "I want to know I could protect my daughter," and why nobody buys your methodology The cheap-money trap: what uni student deals did to Doza's F45 (churn three times a year, and they crowded out the members he actually wanted) The one-line hook template that positions you as a category of one, plus the cover-your-logo test to check you've nailed it Loved this one? Binge this next: your message is only half the machine, so hear why ads flop even when the avatar is right in "10x Your Leads in 2025: Why Your Ads Aren't Working (And What To Do Instead)" And when you're ready to do this properly, this is the exact process we use to take owners from stuck at the same revenue two months running to their first 20k month, then 40, then beyond 100k, without burnout. Book your discovery call here CHAPTERS 00:00:00 You don't have an avatar, you have a demographic 00:04:59 Specific is not narrow (meet Stuck Sam) 00:07:53 Tony and Nat: the two avatars that built a million dollar gym 00:10:00 Step 1: Mine your best members (and the TAM check) 00:13:57 Step 2: Understand their pain, six questions deep 00:16:04 Sidebar: the uni student trap 00:19:53 Step 3: Give them a name 00:21:56 Step 4: From pain to promised land 00:24:41 Live role play: what she actually wants 00:27:10 Excuses and refusals (and how to weaponise them) 00:29:14 Step 5: Why here, not there 00:31:57 Step 6: Create the hook 00:33:26 The cover-your-logo test 00:36:12 Recap and your next move

Watch it here: https://youtu.be/j1YmLlwJm2gIn Episode 271 of the Further Your Lifestyle podcast, host Chris explores the difference between wanting a goal and being willing to do what it takes to achieve it. He argues that most people love outcomes but resist the repetitive, uncomfortable process required, and that the real barrier is often willingness to learn rather than capability. Chris shares examples from starting his podcast and reselling business, then outlines practical ways to become more willing: stop trying to know everything before starting, fall in love with reps through routine and consistency, shrink the challenge into one small action at a time, and remember nobody begins as an expert. Send us Fan MailAaron, Trent, and Peaches get into one of the biggest questions future service members keep asking: should you still join the military if you do not like the current political climate, the administration, or where the country seems to be headed? The short version: if politics are enough to stop you from serving, maybe you were looking for a reason not to join anyway. The team breaks down what it actually means to serve under presidents, commanders, senior enlisted leaders, and policies you may not personally agree with. They talk about swearing an oath to the Constitution, not a political party, and why the military forces you to work with people from every possible background, belief system, and worldview. They also get into why military service can change your perspective on America, what you learn from seeing the rest of the world, why Americans have a unique willingness to go get their people, and why discomfort, shared hardship, and serving something bigger than yourself still matter. The episode wraps with a strong shoutout to Jarred Taylor, his impact on the military content space, and his book Deep Scythe — a fictional but highly relevant look at fifth-generation warfare, innovation, and the future fight.Chapters:00:00 - Intro, Partners, and Outside The Wire07:08 - Should Politics Stop You From Joining?09:01 - Excuses, Fear, and the Word “But”10:59 - Serving Under Leaders You Disagree With13:47 - Working With People Who See the World Differently16:01 - Online Opinions vs. Actually Doing Something17:38 - Your Oath Is to the Constitution21:31 - How to Get Past the Politics23:40 - Skills, Benefits, and the Military Friend Network25:42 - Discomfort, Growth, and Finding Out Who You Are27:48 - Maybe the Military Is Exactly What You Need31:52 - Saying True Things Gets Pushback34:41 - Testing Your Beliefs in the Real World36:40 - Humanitarian Work and Seeing America Differently39:29 - Aaron's Africa Story and Real Perspective43:08 - Americans Go Get Their People47:42 - Politics Should Not Override Service49:53 - Jessica Lynch and the American Rescue Mentality52:19 - Partner Forces, Courage, and Cowardice57:36 - Final Word on Serving Anyway58:44 - Jarred Taylor and Deep Scythe01:03:02 - How JT Helped Ones Ready01:05:45 - Membership and Outside The Wire01:07:35 - Wrap-UpSupport the showJoin this channel to get access to perks: HEREBuzzsprout Subscription page: HERERegister for our Operator Training Summit: OperatorTrainingSummit.comFind an Air Force Recruiter: AirForce.comCollabs:Ones Ready - OnesReady.com 18A Fitness - Promo Code: ONESREADY ATACLete - Follow the URL (no promo code): ATACLeteDanger Close Apparel - Promo Code: ONESREADYDFND Apparel...
In this episode, Shane takes a look at modern culture and asks why we're surrounded by more information, more convenience, and more self-improvement content than ever... yet so many people still feel stuck. From social media "experts" and AI to dopamine, distraction, and the comfort economy, we explore why real change has less to do with finding the perfect hack and more to do with doing the hard things we've been avoiding. Because maybe the biggest obstacle isn't alcohol. Maybe it's our addiction to comfort. Episode Highlights: Why everyone has advice—but few people take action The comfort trap and modern distractions How attention has become today's most valuable asset Why avoiding discomfort keeps us stuck The performance mindset that changes everything ️ If you enjoyed this episode, subscribe, leave a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, and share it with a friend. One thing I often hear discussed is whether a child “needs” a particular accommodation. Another common discussion is around whether a label is beneficial or harmful to a child. There is a lot of challenging nuance in both of these. Listen in to this week's podcast to hear some of my thoughts on the topic. Then, hit reply and let me know your thoughts!

The internet has no shortage of opinions about fitness...Unfortunately, many of the loudest voices are encouraging people to stay exactly where they are.In today's episode, we react to multiple viral fitness clips covering obesity, weight loss, accountability, body positivity, dating, nutrition, gym culture, and the state of health in America. Some creators make great points.Others... not so much. The goal isn't to shame anyone. The goal is to separate good advice from bad advice so people can make better decisions for their health, performance, and longevity. If we're serious about reversing the obesity epidemic, we have to be willing to challenge ideas—not just celebrate them because they're popular.Health isn't hate. Accountability isn't bullying.
“Send Coach John a message”I found a fantastic and simple reminder from Jim Rohn Official (@OfficialJimRohn) where this truth is shared with us. "You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great." — Jim Rohn “Stop waiting. Start now!” Yes, it is simple, but for many it's not easy to do. Why? Life gets in the way. Excuses take front and center in our lives. For me, I need to grasp onto the truth that the reason why things I want to happen, have not happened - are all on my shoulders. I cannot blame others. It's the person in the mirror for sure. He and I need to have a conversation and then, what is one small step I can take towards getting things going! Then again and again and again. One small step at a time, repeated over and over again will make a difference!! Thanks for listening. Prince Andrew offered a series of explanations for why Virginia Roberts Giuffre's allegations could not be true, but many of them only intensified public skepticism. During his disastrous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, Andrew said he had no recollection of meeting Giuffre and claimed he had been at a Pizza Express in Woking with his daughter on the night she said they had been together. His most widely ridiculed explanation concerned Giuffre's description of him sweating heavily while dancing. Andrew insisted that he could not have been sweating because a medical condition, supposedly connected to his service in the Falklands War, had temporarily left him unable to perspire. Rather than discrediting Giuffre's account, the unusual and unsupported explanation became one of the defining moments of the interview.Equally damaging was Andrew's attempt to cast doubt on the photograph showing him with his arm around Giuffre's waist inside Ghislaine Maxwell's London home. Although he acknowledged that the man in the picture appeared to be him, he questioned whether the image had been manipulated and pointed to details such as the position of his hand and the clothing he was wearing. The argument was difficult to reconcile with his insistence that he had no memory of meeting Giuffre, because he was simultaneously denying the encounter while trying to explain why the photographic evidence might not be genuine. Later disclosures reportedly provided further support for the photograph's authenticity, making Andrew's efforts to dismiss it appear even less credible. Together, the sweating defense and the attack on the photograph transformed his denials from a legal and reputational strategy into symbols of how implausible his broader account had become.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Is Lincoln Riley running out of time at USC? Lance Taylor joins Connor O'Gara for Episode 7 of The Connor O'Gara Show to examine Riley's future, the Trojans' College Football Playoff potential and the enormous pressure surrounding one of college football's most polarizing head coaches. Despite producing elite quarterbacks and winning four Big 12 championships, Lincoln Riley is still searching for his first College Football Playoff victory. Connor and Lance also reveal the national championship teams they rooted against the hardest, including the 2013 Florida State Seminoles, the Cam Newton-led 2010 Auburn Tigers, the controversial 2023 Michigan Wolverines and the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes. Plus, Connor makes a bold Michigan prediction that would create a nightmare scenario for Ryan Day and Ohio State, while the guys dream up potential playoff matchups involving Alabama, Oregon, USC, Oklahoma, Michigan, Utah, Texas and Texas Tech. Your Body Changes When Your Excuses Die
The industry’s talking points are getting more absurd by the week: a farm blames “vegan extremists” for ending baby goat cuddling sessions, a horse-carriage op-ed acts like $65K/year is a job worth preserving at all costs, and the EU touts a “protein plan” that funnels plant protein straight back into animal feed. On this episode of Rising Anxieties, we call out…
In today's Morning Manna, Rick Wiles and Doc Burkhart continue their study of Proverbs 26 by examining Solomon's unforgettable portrait of the sluggard in verses 13–16. Why does the lazy man always seem to find a "lion in the street"? How can someone stay busy yet accomplish nothing? And why does laziness often end in self-deception? Through these vivid proverbs, Solomon exposes the progression from excuses, to inactivity, to spiritual paralysis, and finally to a heart convinced it is wiser than those who faithfully do God's work. This practical lesson challenges every believer to confront the imaginary obstacles that keep us from obedience and to embrace the diligence that honors the Lord. In this episode of the Thinking Talmudist Podcast, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explores a fascinating passage from Tractate Yoma, weaving together halachic discussion, ethical lessons, and profound insights into personal growth. Beginning with the special garments of the Kohen Gadol, the Gemara highlights the importance of modesty, holiness, and communal ownership in Temple service. Rabbi Wolbe expands this discussion by explaining why the Temple featured a ramp instead of stairs leading to the altar: Judaism rejects "one-size-fits-all" spiritual growth. Every individual ascends toward Hashem at their own pace, yet no one can afford to remain spiritually stagnant. Like a ball on a ramp, we are either moving upward or slowly rolling backward. The Gemara then presents three timeless role models who remove every excuse for neglecting Torah study. Hillel obligates the poor, demonstrating extraordinary dedication by climbing onto the roof of the study hall in freezing weather simply to hear Torah when he could not afford the entrance fee. Rabbi Elazar ben Charsom obligates the wealthy, inheriting unimaginable riches yet abandoning comfort and status to devote himself entirely to Torah. Finally, Yosef HaTzaddik obligates those struggling with temptation, resisting relentless attempts by Potiphar's wife to seduce him because his awareness of Hashem outweighed every earthly temptation. Together, these three giants teach that poverty, wealth, and temptation are never valid reasons to neglect spiritual growth. Rabbi Wolbe concludes by drawing practical lessons for contemporary life. True wealth is not measured by possessions but by bitachon—complete trust in Hashem, illustrated through the story of the Brisker Rav, who discovered that genuine riches come from reliance on God rather than ownership of property. Likewise, Yosef's greatness stemmed from living with constant awareness that Hashem was present everywhere, making temptation powerless. The message is clear: every Jew has challenges, but every Jew also has Torah. Whether rich or poor, successful or struggling, the Torah remains our greatest source of strength, purpose, and elevation. ★ Support this podcast ★
The Yankees' offense needs an immediate jolt, and Evan Roberts is demanding that Brian Cashman call up George Lombard Jr. now. Evan argues that Jose Caballero and Anthony Volpe have already shown they are not the long-term answer at shortstop, while Lombard's hot bat and major league-ready defense make him the most exciting option available. Tiki Barber agrees with the idea but warns that a rookie could struggle under postseason pressure, while Shaun Morash believes Lombard could also solve the Yankees' problems at third base. They debate whether Volpe should be sent down, whether Lombard is being protected as a trade chip, and why waiting until September could waste the prospect's chance to transform the season.
