You don't need a five-year plan; one clear next action can steady the day in life after suicide loss. Journal prompt:  “When I picture myself exhaling tomorrow, the action that gets me there is…” What we mean by a “one-inch plan” (so we're clear): A one-inch plan is small, specific, and scheduled—just enough structure to steady tomorrow without overwhelming today. Examples:Admin inch: “Print the form and put it by the door at 7:30 a.m.”Body inch: “Walk to the mailbox at 3:00 p.m., phone off.”Connection inch: “Text Sam at noon: ‘Thinking of you—no need to respond.'” Keep it to one action, one support, one time. If it takes more than 10 minutes to explain, it's not one inch.A Flicker (Hope) — Clarity calms A single next action can quiet the swirl. Keep that quiet. To Rebuild (Healing) — The 1-1-1 plan 1 task: one thing you'll finish tomorrow. 1 support: one person/tool that helps. 1 time: a start time on your calendar (even 10 minutes).Take a Step (Becoming) — Prep a breadcrumb Lay out one item you'll need (document, clothes, water bottle) where you'll see it. Future-you will thank you.Choose-your-energy menu:Hollow (low): Hollow — Write your 1-1-1 in notes. Stop there.Healing (medium): Healing — Put the start time on your calendar and set one reminder.Becoming (higher): Becoming — Add 1-1-1 blocks for the next three days.Food for Thought Today: Panic feeds on vagueness. One clear inch is often enough to move—then you plan the next inch from a steadier place. Progress, not pressure.Exhale. Keep what serves you; leave the rest. I'll be here again tomorrow.

Most people think they know what to do to get in shape — they just aren't doing it. But what if what you “knew” wasn't actually true? In this episode, Nate Palmer pulls back the curtain on one of the biggest myths in fitness: that you have to choose between building muscle and losing fat. You'll learn why most programs sabotage results by raising stress and depleting energy — and how small, smart shifts can make your body want to change. Nate reveals the 3 hidden pillars behind predictable body recomposition: Top End Failure Training — how to trigger muscle growth without crushing your body. Energy-First Fat Loss — the nutrition framework that keeps you energized, full, and fat-adapted. Getting Under the Stress Ceiling — the recovery system that unlocks fat loss and muscle gain simultaneously. By the end, you'll understand why it's not about doing more — it's about doing the right things in the right order. Key Takeaways: Most people fail to see results because they're following the wrong system, not because they lack willpower. Body recomposition is predictable when you train with precision, fuel for energy, and recover intentionally. You don't have to sacrifice your energy or lifestyle to transform your body — you just have to stop fighting your biology. When the oldest son of Alisa Daniels had a hockey injury and simply wanted to stay in shape by starting a new yoga practice, she couldn't have imagined what path this would lead her entire family down. She now seeks to help others become aware of Il Chi Lee's Dahn Yoga cult, now rebranded as Body & Mind, that drained her family of money and took hold of their lives. On this episode of Cults, Culture & Coercion, I talked with Alisa about the high-control tactics the Korean cult used to influence and entrap her son and herself, as well as other family members. When her son became involved in the Dahn Yoga group, she was concerned and wanted to learn more to stay close to him. This would, unfortunately, be how she also would become deeply involved and ensnared. Then she recruited other family members and the cult got a lot of money. Fortunately, a successful intervention took place and everyone is happy and doing well. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Andrew Clark, founder of the Jeremiah Fund and co-creator of the Lion's Den, felt drawn to both business and ministry from an early age and soon discovered he could faithfully merge the two. His path has spanned multiple industries as an entrepreneur and investor, where he learned the power of linking arms with other Christians in the marketplace. Through it all, one question has anchored his work: How do you steward influence and capital for eternal impact? That pursuit led to the Lion's Den, a Shark Tank style forum that connects Christ-centered founders with values-aligned investors. More recently, he launched the Jeremiah Fund to venture differently, pairing capital with discipleship and Kingdom partnership. Andrew is a thoughtful builder with practical frameworks for viewing business, investing, and eternity. His insights will sharpen how you think about faithful stewardship in the marketplace.   Major Topics Include: The story of the Lion's Den What God's doing in impact investing Historical examples of Christian business networking  Considering impact as a Christin investor  Three axis of considering impact: the intensity of the mission, the amount of expected return, and the time of expected return Balancing “showing” and “telling” Finding alignment in faith-driven investing Spirit-led investing when you may not see the fruit Navigating Christian relationships through the ups and downs of business Encouraging and ministering to struggling founders through the Jeremiah Fund The difference between a driven person and a called person Encouragement for business leaders to be open about their faith QUOTES TO REMEMBER “All of life is ministry. So what are you going to do for ministry in the working world?” “How do we live out our faith in our work in a way that people want to be drawn into the place where we're worshipping the Lord?” “Let's try to create an environment where we can encourage collaboration and encourage growth.” “The best thing we did in the Lion's Den was try to provide a place where people could fellowship and learn, and we weren't prescribing actions, but we were describing what could be possible.” “There is beauty in the diversity of the Body of Christ, and the more we take stock of that and actually listen the more we see the beauty of the Lord and who He is.”  “The more you encourage the opportunity for the Lord to be present and to be shown, the more He will bless it, whether it's successful or not.”  “Christian investing has three parts: charity, philanthropy, and reinvestment.” “Relationships are so important in encouraging Christians in an early stage of this journey.” “A called person realizes that it's not ultimately their job alone, but God is with them. And it's not about a performance, but about learning who God is and who they are.” “When you understand who you are and what God's given you, you will understand more what you can do practically and for the Lord.” LINKS FROM THE SHOW Lion's Den Jeremiah Fund Regional Advantage by AnnaLee Saxenian Lead with Prayer by Ryan Skoog, Peter Greer, Cameron Doolittle The Finish Line Community Facebook Group The Finish Line Community LinkedIn Group BIBLE REFERENCES FROM THE SHOW Matthew 25:14-30 | Parable of the Talents WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! In this episode of the You Are Not Broken podcast, Kelly Casperson and Dr. Juliana Hauser discuss the themes of holistic sexuality, emphasizing the importance of unlearning societal norms and embracing body acceptance. They explore the journey of self-discovery, the impact of sexual confidence, and the necessity of communication in relationships. The conversation also touches on the consequences of medications like Viagra, the need for more sex therapists, and the misconceptions surrounding female sexuality. Ultimately, they highlight the significance of arousal and connection as essential components of a fulfilling sexual experience. Takeaways Sexuality is a necessity, not a luxury. Unlearning societal norms is crucial for sexual confidence. Body compassion can transform one's relationship with self. Self-discovery is a journey that enhances sexual experiences. Communication is key in sexual relationships. Viagra's impact on sexual dynamics needs to be addressed. There is a gender bias in sexual health treatments. More sex therapists are needed to support women's sexual health. Misconceptions about female sexuality hinder self-acceptance. It's October, which means it's time for scary books and scary movies. There's one person who is well known for both: Stephen King. Since his first novel, "Carrie," was published in 1974 and adapted into a hit film two years later, his novels and short stories have been a reliable source of material for film and TV adaptations. And while he's known as a master of horror, some of the more popular films based on his work are drawn from non-horror material. On this week's episode, Sean Fennessey, co-host of the Ringer podcast "The Big Picture," joins Gilbert Cruz to talk about "Stand By Me," "The Shawshank Redemption" and more.Books and movies discussed in this episode:"Stand by Me," based on the novella "The Body" from 1982's "Different Seasons""The Running Man," based on the 1982 novel of the same name published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman"The Shawshank Redemption," based on the novella "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" from "Different Seasons""Dolores Claiborne," based on the 1992 novel of the same name"The Green Mile," based on the 1996 serial novel of the same name"The Life of Chuck," based on the novella from 2020's "If It Bleeds""The Long Walk," based on the 1979 novel of the same name published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman Subscribe today at nytimes.com/podcasts or on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. In this episode, Sabrina Zohar sits down with Dr. Sara Szal to uncover the hidden physical roots of anxiety. From hormones and gut health to mold, blood sugar, and cortisol, they break down how your body can fuel emotional chaos even when your life feels “fine.” Sabrina opens up about her own misdiagnosis journey, being told her anxiety was just mental before discovering deeper physiological causes. Together, they explore how the nervous system, hormones, and environment intertwine, and how healing often starts in the body, not the mind. If you've ever asked yourself, “Why do I feel anxious when nothing's wrong?”, this episode will change the way you understand yourself. The metals poisoning. The 12-inch worms (yes, really). The 27 pounds she lost without counting a single calorie. The face that made people ask, "Have you had work done?" No tox. No surgery. Just results. Danielle walks you through the practitioners who actually helped, the protocols that worked, and the expensive mistakes she made so you don't have to. This is raw, real, and intensely practical. If you've been trying everything and nothing's working—your body might just be trying to stay alive. In this episode: Why mold and parasites are buddies (and how to evict them both) The brain and metals detox that brought her clarity back What actually worked for weight loss after trainers, cardio, and protein shakes failed The 3-month parasite cleanse and what came out of her body (bring chopsticks) How she lost 27 pounds without counting calories The insulin resistance reset that changed everything Face yoga, red light therapy, and the tools that firmed up her face (no Botox) The spiritual practices that helped her discern solutions The essential oils, air purifiers, and home environment shifts that support healing Big disclaimer: This is not medical advice. When a decomposing body was found in the front trunk of a Tesla linked to indie musician D4vd, it shattered the silence around a missing person case that had gone largely ignored. The body was that of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, reported missing in 2024. But it wasn't law enforcement who made the next big move—it was the owner of the Hollywood Hills home D4vd had rented. He hired a private investigator. This segment dives into the unanswered questions swirling around the Tesla body discovery: How did Celeste die? Who left her there? Why is there so much silence? And why did it take a dead teenager linked to a pop star to finally get people to care? We examine the implications of private citizens hiring investigators when law enforcement stays quiet—and what it means when justice is outsourced to those just trying to protect their names. #CelesteRivas #D4vd #TeslaBodyCase #PrivateInvestigation #HollywoodMystery #LAPDCase #MissingPersons #TrueCrime2025 #JusticeForCeleste #HiddenKillers Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
