In the climactic final episode of the first season, Won finally opens up about "the incident." This one comes with a litany of trigger warnings including rape, abduction, and violence, not to mention death by pussy pillow. Was this homicide actually justified? You be the judge.
Alana McLain needs answers. Is Won actually a spy? Has the good doctor put herself and her partner in danger? To find out, she seeks out Won's self-appointed protector, the Army of Won, who shows her just how far down the rabbit hole goes and encourages her to "drag it out into the open" and "hide in plain sight."
Jessi is convinced that she is being followed, and Alana's attempts to talk her down cause a rift that won't be easily repaired. Meanwhile, the prison remains on lock-down after the riot, so Won resorts to more direct means of communication.
While Won's detractors and supporters battle it out in front of the prison, Dr. McLain probes a little deeper into Won's complicated relationship with celebrity (and a few celebrities in particular), as well as what drove her over the edge of sanity.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't watching your every move. Won cracks the surface of what she calls "the fuckery" - the insidious and all-too-common process of subtle but relentless hazing that drives powerful women into madness.
Dr. McLain knows she needs to win back Won's trust. But opening up about her own past has unexpected consequences for both of them.
Dr. McLain's partner, Jessi (Maryann Amarynn Munroe), a big fan of Won's, pushes her to ask more personal and probing questions. But has she gone too far?
Dr. Alana McLain has no idea what she's getting herself into when she sits down to interview the mysterious assassin who has just killed the president. She thinks she's here to get a psychological profile on a psychopath, but she's about to question everything she thinks she knows about the world she lives in. What is justice? What is freedom? What is madness? And who is watching the watchers?
Welcome to the future resistance! A mysterious woman named Won (Courtney A. Walsh) has killed the president. Professor of Abnormal Psychology, Alana McLain (Adrienne MacIain), has gained exclusive access to Won for a psychological profile of this cold-blooded killer. But as the interviews progress, the distinctions between interviewer and interviewee, sanity and madness, safety and danger, become irretrievably blurred. What is treason? What is justice? And who watches the watchers? The first episode of this riveting audio drama drops TOMORROW, Tuesday December 3rd, subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!
