There is a family in Mundijong with three young children, and two of their children have been diagnosed with MLD “Meta-chromatic Leuko-dystrophy”, an inherited genetic disease with no cure, only treatment to extend life and slow down the disease. There’s a 1 in 40,000 chance of having the gene, with 1 in 4 chance of passing it to your children. Skwid had a chat with me this morning from Guardians of Innocence Perth and they are hosting a ride this weekend that is going through our Avon region to raise funds for this family in need.
