Hello 2Legs Family, We have a very special one-off non Macca episode to share with you. As most of you know Brian Wilson, of the Beach Boys recently passed away in June 2025 at the age of 82. His music has had a profound effect in the development of Andy's musical education along the way. For this episode, Andy paired up with Jonathan Petrus (Ranking The Beatles) and vinylbenjy (of Instagram fame) as all three of us have a shared love and passion of Brian and The Beach Boys music. We share our Beach Boys origins, some deep cut favourites, and lastly our Top 10 Fav's! In the comments, let us know your Top 10! Thanks to Jonathan and Benjy for hopping on for this special tribute. You both brought back many memories! We are a Paul channel, and we know his love of Pet Sounds we feel this was a worthy special episode to drop here because of the significance, love, joy and creativity that Brian Wilson brought us. Welcome Back 2Legs Fam! This week we present another Interview Archive Series with Macca. When we do this we try to cherry pick rare and not often seen/discussed interviews. It's late 1987. Paul is riding the wave of success of his 2nd career spanning compilation "All The Best!". He has also been making the rounds on TV shows in Europe to promote his top selling single 'Once Upon A Long Ago' (also included on the UK "All The Best!" only). In the (audio only) interview conducted by Stefan Schlabritz & Slizzy Bob we hear Paul joke about his skills in the german language, the tracks chosen for All The Best!, working with Elvis Costello and Chris Witten to start a new band, and Once Upon A Long Ago. He also discusses his Sgt. Pepper nostalgic pastiche "Return To Pepperland" and compares it with George's 'When We Was Fab'. Something not heard again much from Macca. He also outlines the vision for what will become "The Beatles Anthology" documentary was was only a few years away from happening. We close out the episode with an alternate mimed performance of 'Once Upon A Long Ago' from the German TV Programme Wetten Das. See you guys after the 4th of July! Peace Andy & Tom

One of the darkest days for the UBP was in May 1990, when Vic Tayback, a.k.a. Mel on CBS' “Alice”, left this earth; and perhaps others. Despite taking place literal decades before the UBP began, Mr. Tayback's death caused a deep level of pain that has us forever kissing our own grits. Flash forward to June, 2025. Another entertainment hero is gone - one arguably bigger than Mr. Tayback - who helped define American music in the 1960's, and inspired Paul McCartney and The Beatles to reach arguably their greatest artistic heights.* (*Does not include “Now And Then”.) Indeed, the incredibly sad passing of Brian Wilson was felt deeply by the Gab Two; longtime Beach Boys fans who, in this episode, pay tribute to one of Macca's undying inspirations. Along the way, they also ask:

Paul McCartney married Heather Mills in an extravagant ceremony at Castle Leslie in County Monaghan, Ireland, on 11th June, 2002. 300 VIP guests were in attendance, including Elton John, Eric Clapton, and Ringo Starr, but only one official photo was ever released - so local teens with disposable cameras became unlikely paparazzi for hire. The couple's doomed love story began in 1999 at the Pride of Britain Awards, but when the tabloid press got hold of their relationship, eyebrows were raised over their age gap, Mills' rocky employment history, and her supposed friction with Paul's daughter, designer Stella McCartney. In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly look back at the misogynistic coverage of Mills in the popular press; revisit the turbulent fallout of this high-profile celebrity marriage; and pore over the ashes of Mills's prior romances… Further Reading: • ‘McCartney ties knot at rock 'n' roll wedding' (CNN, 2002): https://edition.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/Music/06/11/mccartney.wedday/index.html • ‘First view from inside Paul McCartney and Heather Mills' wedding' (Mail Online, 2015): https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3035182/Help-Gloom-Macca-s-girls-doomed-wedding-view-inside-Paul-Heather-s-wedding-did-grim-faced-Stella-Mary-know-coming.html • ‘Mills rants after getting £24.3m from Macca' (On Demand Entertainment, 2008): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9R7gV9evNE Love the show? Welcome Back 2Legs Fam! It's been nearly 20 years since Paul's latter day 21st Century Masterpiece Chaos and Creation In The Backyard. Where did that time go? To accompany and promote the record Paul held an intimate gathering of fans and friends at Abbey Road, recorded in Studio 2 to demonstrate some of the creative processes that he and The Beatles used to employ there and have a bit of fun along the way. Filmed on 28 July 2005 and originally broadcast on BBC2 17 December 2005 and PBS in the USA 27th February 2006 and directed by Simon Hilton "Chaos And Creation At Abbey Road" provides such an intimate glimpse of Macca at work playing familiar tunes in a whole new arrangement ('Band On The Run', 'Lady Madonna', 'I've Got A Feeling') among several from the forthcoming album which dropped in September of that year. Did you watch this upon initial release? or when it was bundled in the CD set? Let us know in the comments below! We love deep dives back into stuff like this! We hope you do too! Peace Andy and Tom
In this heartwarming and laughter-filled episode, Ponch sits down with two sisters, Lucia "Cia" and Anica, to explore the beautiful (and sometimes chaotic!) reality of growing up in a family of four daughters. Together, they reflect on the shared memories, road trips, dinner table conversations, and life lessons that shaped them. From pillow forts and Macca's breakfasts to intentional parenting and the power of saying “I'm sorry,” this episode dives deep into how family culture, communication, and individual respect laid the foundation for strong sibling bonds and personal growth. Whether you're a parent, sibling, or just someone reflecting on your own upbringing, this episode will remind you that the little moments—when approached with love, presence, and intention—are what ultimately form the strongest family ties. Discussion Points: How everyday moments like family meals, road trips, and kitchen time can become lasting sources of connection and joy. Exploring how a home filled with four sisters stayed grounded through open dialogue, mutual support, and intentional parenting. The normal ups and downs of sibling life, and how choosing to say sorry and forgive quickly helps preserve relationships. Why it matters when children, especially teen, feel their opinions and feelings are genuinely considered—whether it's choosing a house or navigating social situations. How doing chores, being relied on, and helping one another builds a sense of ownership and unity within the family. Celebrating the beauty of unique personalities and different career paths—all nurtured under one roof without comparisons or competition. Join the Conversation We'd love to hear from you! What are some of your favorite childhood memories with your siblings or family? Have you experienced moments when your parents (or you as a parent) made space for dialogue and understanding? How do you encourage individuality while keeping family unity strong?

In this part #1 we will be exploring, in detail, everything that happened to our Paul between the releases of Driving Rain (2001) and Chaos in Creation in the Backyard (2005). From this tumultuous period, yet pivotal period, we will cover... The death of George Harrison. Paul's Marriage to Heather Mills. The Heather Mills Media Circus. McCartney at the Superbowl (twice)! Both the Driving World Tour & the 04' Summer Tour. The Art of McCartney Exhibition. The Firing of Geoff Baker. Let It Be: Naked. The birth of the "Modern Era" of Paul McCartney. Dust off your funny bone (actual NBC ad copy circa 1987), it's the long-awaited conclusion to T.J., Tony and Producer Casey's forensic deep dish into Paul McCartney's 1993 appearance on Saturday Night Live! Yes, the boys are combing through every Macca performance, each Clinton-era comedy sketch, and almost every opinion... Unfortunately, Producer Casey did not inform the affiliates that we would be running over, so regularly scheduled programming resumed as planned. Of course, any well-executed satire (like the Gap Girls sketch!) will elicit thought-provoking questions. Such as:

This week on 2Legs (amidst the brand new touring rumours, and Babs dropping her duet on 'My Valentine' with Macca) we are pleased to revisit the Interview Series - where we dissect a rare and not often seen interview with Paul. On this episode we chose the 1977 Interview from an Australian TV program titled "Count Down." This recently surfaced on YouTube and to see the late 70s Wings trio ensconced in the privacy of #2 Studio at Abbey Road is pretty cool to witness. They appear bored at times (Denny especially) but Paul and Linda give some good sound bites here about what's to come. This was mainly used as a promotional tool for the then current single 'Mull of Kintyre.' The gentlemen interviewing Wings is Molly Meldrum. Orignally broadcasted on 24th December 1977. And we like Paul music post-1981, sorry not sorry! Peace Andy & Tom

It's the finale of 1990 and Paul McCartney is drawing a historic year in his solo career to a close with a new single. Taken from his new Tripping the Live Fantastic package capturing the best performances from his whirlwind 89-90 World Tour, the single All My Trials captures Macca and the band at their most soulful. A fitting, poignant end to a year that would come to define Paul for the rest of his life, and secure his legacy as the 20th century's most prolific pop prodigy. With new music from George Harrison's Traveling Wilburys still on the charts, so ends the beginning of a new decade in Beatle World. Next, it's 1991... Hosted on Acast.
