Alex sits down with his younger brother, Aaron, to discuss their upbringing in the church and how they see religion now. Aaron also tell us about his college experience and his move to Nashville

Life long friendships start just about anywhere. This discussion is with my fraternity brothers Denzel and Dallas. We discussed how we become close friends and how we maintain a great friendship even while we are all states apart.

Alex has a zoom conversations with two of his line brothers, Justin and Marlon, about a night they had an encounter with the Memphis Police Department. They walk through the situation that happened the summer of 2010. Each of the guys share how they felt and things they remember from the night

I'm so excited to share the second season of my podcast, As I Recall. This season you will hear some familiar voices from the first season as I will be sharing some of my personal memories from college and from childhood. We get to some pretty serious topics that I hope can start conversations and that may even help others in need. Episode 1 got some much needed assistance from my friend Barrett Newsome, co-host of the She and I Podcast. We got to a very sensitive topic in conversation but one that was extremely important for me to have. I hope you enjoy the conversation.

Alex recalls an epic freestyle session that happened during his wedding in 2017 with Chris Livingston. Chris give us a few tips for new fathers as he navigates this new world called parenthood. The conversation turned to profit and success and work. Chris recalls a sermon discussing The Sabbath as what is means to him and his family. The conversation leads to a great discussion regarding support for women during pregnancy and during birth. Alex introduces his wife, mother to be, Jasmine Sweet! Jasmine recalls the moment she knew she was pregnant with a sweet baby girl. She begins to share this moment by introducing how music is such a huge part of this family. We remember loved ones we lost and shared how we feel our loved ones are still with us in some way. As Jasmine begins to tell the story, Alex sets the scene. It all begins with a visit to the gym and a song, Zombie by Fela Kuti. Get your tissues ready! This is a beautiful moment. Alex speaks to his father and a few of his fathers friends about the 1977 TV mini series Roots. The discussion is centered around what is was like to go back to high school and junior high as a black boy after watching each episode. The experiences each brother shared was very interesting to say the least. Conversation lead to what is was like growing up in the late 60s and 70s as a black man. We quickly learn that some of those same past experiences are still happening today.
