The guys sit down and tackle what the spiritual gifts detailed in scripture mean. Are the gifts for today, and if so, how are we to view them.

We wanted to tackle the issue of assurance after our previous discussion. It felt like a natural next place to go, how can the Christian know they are saved, and of course we had to get involved in our Soteriology to get there.

Our thoughts on Church government Questions to ask your church/denomination 1. Women a. Are women able to call out men on sin? b. Can women minister to men in any capacity? c. Can Women be administrators or personnel in charge of tangible duties and coordination of needs? 2. Ecclesiology a. How are the elders and pastor held accountable? How are they fed? b. What is the church government structure? i. How are they held accountable? Fed? c. Purpose of Deacons, Elders? 3. Missions a. Is the denomination focused on being in global community? b. How involved with Missions is the local church? c. What are the community outreach and services provided by the local body? 4. Scripture a. What is the process for searching scripture to continually reform the denomination? Is everything set in stone? b. How allegorical is scripture? Hermeneutical Approach? 5. Eschatology a. Amil, Premil, postmil? b. Purpose of Revelation? 6. Mental Health a. What is their perspective on depression, anxiety i. What is their ability to help with counseling, etc. 7. Children a. What proof is required for communion b. Purpose of Baptism (what age can they be baptized?) 8. Membership a. What must members affirm? b. How long must you attend? c.
