Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ [8] And they took him and killed him and threw him out of the vineyard. [9] What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others. [10] Have you not read this Scripture: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; [11] this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?” [12] And they were seeking to arrest him but feared the people, for they perceived that he had told the parable against them. So they left him and went away. 764 Your Faith Has Saved you Go In Peace, A Guided Christian Meditation on Luke 7:48-50 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.  Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization. Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes.You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing.  If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.   Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:   Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Luke 7 ESV 48 And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49 Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” 50 And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” NIV 48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” 50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Meditation on Scripture: Today I have a simple and direct message that forms the core of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no more important sentence we more need to hear than this one. Your sins are forgiven. We spend a great deal of time worried about many different outcomes and different decisions, yet this one is by far the most important. The good news of the Gospel is that this sentence is made possible by the redeemer, Jesus Christ. Regardless of the filth of the world, how stained we have become by its sin, or how prideful we are in thinking we dont need forgiveness despite the ample evidence to the contrary, God can forgive.  Jesus performs miracles, we see that in the Gospel accounts. He teaches profound lessons of instruction of moral clarity and righteousness. Yet these people here are baffled that he forgives sins. For those of us who have already accepted that Jesus is the Son of God and as it says in the Gospels that Jesus has take the role of judge. We can forget how unique that is. Here they sat with a man who claimed to forgive sins. Who is Jesus that he can forgive your sins? As you come to truely believe Jesus, not just believe in Him, you come to understand that he certainly is able to forgive sin. We, just like this woman, can be comforted when we ponder that declaration that OUR sins are forgiven. As our faith in God has allowed us to receive a new heart, willing to do what God has asked, we can also Go in Peace. If you lack peace in your heart, set aside all the things that lessen that peace and accept this statement from Jesus. Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Neda was born in Iran to a Muslim family. She grew up as a Muslim and married a well-known Iranian athlete. But their marriage was on the rocks. At 22, feeling broken and empty, Neda called out to Allah for help. But she found no solace, and grew angry and disillusioned with a god that refused to answer her prayers. As Neda's heart continued searching, God supernaturally told a family member living in the Netherlands to go back to Iran and share the gospel of Jesus. Neda came to faith in Christ through her relative's witness and her life was radically transformed. Her husband, surprised and amazed by the change he saw in her, placed his trust in Jesus too. God faithfully restored their marriage and called them to ministry. Neda drew strength from the stories of other persecuted Christians. She read a story in a book from The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) about a girl who was assaulted and became pregnant. Yet she responded with remarkable faith by entrusting everything, even her body, to God. God used this story to teach Neda about the importance of obedience and sacrifice despite fear of persecution and threats of imprisonment and violence. Over the next thirteen years, Neda and her husband faced increasing persecution from the Islamic government. In one incident, officials raided their home and threatened her husband at gunpoint. She and her husband ultimately decided to leave Iran, yet they continue to serve from abroad through Iran Alive Ministries. Neda encourages every Christian to lay down their own desires and fully surrender to God's will—even when it means taking up their cross and enduring suffering and persecution. She also shares specific ways to pray for Christians in Iran during the current turmoil there.
