Becoming Mama

This episode is slightly different and we think you guys are gonna love it. Anna and I answered some questions and said goodbye for the season, and we also gave the ‘advice' that all other guests have given! Then @maxnaufel and @cgmperformance360 answered your questions about fatherhood, pressures and struggles as well as their advice to other dads.

We recorded our penultimate episode of the season this week with the gorgeous @samandninayoung and we can't wait for you to listen to it! We spoke all about how she became a single mum at 24 before meeting the love of her life, her sons medical misdiagnosis, her mental health along with paternal maternal health and about how having two under two is “easier” than she imagined! So excited to announce that this week's guest is @_charlottegreen, superwoman and mama to Malachi and Layla. She was super honest with us about having two under two, her slightly traumatic labour, the struggles of going back to work with two kids and even gave some tips on how to get both kids to take the same nap!

This week's episode is all about Daisy's cryptic pregnancy (finding out she was pregnant at 30 weeks). You guys sent in your questions and she spoke about everything from her first pregnancy symptom - kicking in her stomach, to those first feelings of being sure she wouldn't bond with her baby. This episode is a very honest insight into the reality of what a surprise baby can do to your mental health - and how it also changed her life for the better.

This weeks guest is the gorgeous @jadedarl. She has a little boy called Theo and she's currently pregnant with her second baby. She's been very open about maternal mental health and she is also the most fashionable mama on insta! It was a very moving episode where Jade opened up about her miscarriage and the post natal depression she suffered with when Theo was a newborn. Our podcast is all about talking about parts of motherhood that aren't discussed enough to hopefully make you feel less alone and I know Jade's episode will bring comfort to a lot of mamas out there.

Episode 10 is with @baby.skin_, who has a beautiful 13 month old daughter called Honey, has her own jewellery collection @thelastdropjewellery which are rings she's created for mums to celebrate their breastfeeding journey and she's also a skincare guru! We talked everything breastfeeding, from picking up a tongue tie, to weaning off nipple shields, to your your rights around feeding when you go back to work. We also talked about CMPA, baby names, how she almost had Honey on her own in the hospital toilet along with so many other things you don't want to miss. We finished off the episode like we always do, with one piece of advice she'd give to other mums listening but we also got a beauty tip out of her.

This weeks guest is the gorgeous @_ellierosenorman_ ! Ellie runs her own fitness page and takes Instagram lives on @ellierosenormanfitness , she's mama to a beautiful little girl called Aura and she spoke to us openly about how much her life has changed since the shock of finding out she was pregnant while being on the pill. She talked to us about her breastfeeding journey, about living 2 hours away from her partner, about how losing her mum at a young age forced her to be independent and how she believes that Aura was sent to her for a reason. We love recording all our episodes but this one felt really special. Thank you for being so open with us Ellie, you are one of the strongest, most inspiring people we've ever met.

This weeks guest is @beccamedcalf and I'm telling you now - it's definitely one that's going to make to make you laugh. We talked about her labour and how she threw up on her partners brand new Balenciagas, the pranks they both pull on each other, being pregnant at the same time as best friend, being a human dummy, baby led weaning and the never ending mess + so much more.

This weeks guest is the gorgeous @rachelstrutton ❤️ She has a 20 month old called Luca and a 5 month old called Bella that she gave birth to during the pandemic, she is the founder of @tinytumsrecipes which is helping wean babies all over the world and she still finds the time to post gorgeous pics on Instagram! We talked about how she's finding life with 2 under 2, how she set up her own business which has allowed her to leave the office job she hated, cosleeping and so much more.

We recorded an episode last night but instead of asking my own questions I was answering the ones you all sent in about my second pregnancy. I talked about what I'm worried about with having 2 under 2, how I'm finding being pregnant while looking after a young baby (the tv has definitely been on a lot more!), throwing up at a Lana del rey concert and confetti canons in the doctors surgery. Our guest this week is the gorgeous mama to 6 week old Romero @lillianna_n ! She talked about being pregnant and giving birth during a pandemic, how much hypnobirthing helped her, how Romero was one of 80,000 babies a year born in their amniotic sac and why her and her partner have chosen to keep their little boy off social media. The episode will be going up later on in the week and it's a must listen, especially for all the pregnant mamas!
