Si te ofrecieran un tesoro, no dudarías en ir a por él, esté donde esté; pues con mayor razón, deberíamos acudir diariamente a la Santa Misa, donde Jesucristo se nos da entero, en Cuerpo, Sangre, Alma y Divinidad. Este es el gran tesoro que el Señor ha querido dejarnos hasta que Cristo vuelva.

De este momento del día, junto con el sacramento de la Eucaristía que recibimos en la Santa Misa, los cristianos obtenemos la fuerza y la gracia necesarias para enfrentar el combate espiritual. Si lo descuidamos, nos arriesgamos a vaciarnos de Dios y, llenos solo de nosotros mismos, nos acabaremos alejando de Él.

Desde muy pequeño, su madre le animaba al rezo del rosario y a tener una relación cercana con María. Al inicio de su conversión, D. Salvador traerá a la memoria todas estas enseñanzas que recibió durante su infancia. El día en que decidió realizar la consagración a la Virgen María, temía si iba a ser capaz de ser fiel a su promesa, pero su madre le animó diciendo: «Tú hazlo, que Ella pondrá el resto». Y así fue. Desde ese día ha sentido muy cercana la presencia de María y su ayuda en los momentos más difíciles de su vocación.

De hecho, por diversas circunstancias, pero en especial por la atracción del mundo, acabó alejado de la Iglesia durante un tiempo. Hoy, tras catorce años de sacerdocio, D. Salvador Romero solo da gracias a Dios por haberle elegido, convencido de que el único sentido de su vida es ser instrumento para que Cristo pueda llegar a las almas a través de los sacramentos, especialmente el de la Sagrada Eucaristía.

Los manifestantes, agrupados bajo el lema: "El agua no se negocia", exigen el retiro definitivo de la empresa canadiense GoldQuest. Esta movilización ocurre apenas una semana después de una huelga general de 24 horas (el pasado 27 de abril) que paralizó el 98% del comercio y el transporte en la provincia, demostrando un rechazo casi unánime a la actividad minera en la zona. Comunidades y Activistas denuncian que la mina contaminaría el río San Juan y la presa de Sabaneta, destruyendo la agricultura (el "granero del sur"). La Empresa GoldQuest afirma que el proyecto será una mina subterránea de bajo impacto y que aún están en fase de estudios de impacto ambiental (EIA). El presidente Luis Abinader y el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente han reiterado que no se ha aprobado la explotación. El ministro Paíno Henríquez aclaró que solo se autorizaron estudios técnicos para evaluar la viabilidad. ¿Qué es el Proyecto Romero? Se trata de un yacimiento ubicado aguas arriba de la presa de Sabaneta. Los datos técnicos indican: - Vida útil estimada: 8 años. - Extracción: Oro, cobre y plata mediante un proceso de flotación. - Inversión acumulada: Más de 50 millones de dólares en exploración durante las últimas dos décadas.
