From The Weekly Bulletin, 11/3/1978: Following its on-campus premiere during Parents Weekend and subsequent screenings for students, faculty, and staff, the film Voices, Faces, Brown is due to enter a new phase in its life as a cinematic interpretation of academic, social, and extracurricular life at the University. By month's end 10 copies of the 28-minute, 16mm technicolor film wlll be available for showings across the country, thus facilitating the efforts of the admission, alumni relations, and development offices to acquaint diverse audiences with Brown today. A production of the University relations office and Seven Seas Cinema, Voices Faces, Brown is the result of 12 hours of filming between last February and Commencement Weekend and was completed in September at a cost of $39,000. Featured in the presentation are students reflecting on their experiences in independent concentrations; administrators, including Dean of the College Walter Massey and President Howard Swearer, talking about the character of the curriculum and the excellence of Brown's students and faculty; and faculty members (among them Peter A. Stewart, professor of medical science) in classroom settings. Times and locations of future on-campus showings will be announced at a later date.
