Short, simple, easy and fun creative activities designed to support student’s wellbeing while studying online or at home. Based on the Book, 'Daily Acts Of Creativity' by Amanda O'Bryan and adapted for online learning. Hosted by high school CAPA teacher, Fiona Corcoran, the podcast offers activities in six areas of the NSW Secondary Schools CAPA curriculum (Creative and Performing Visual Arts) and covers: 1. Dance 2. Drama 3. Music 4. Photography 5. Visual Arts 6. Wellbeing Anyone can enjoy the activities - you don't need to be a high school student to have fun. Nature Duo For the last activity for Music, you are going to head outside and try to create a musical duo act with an animal. Enjoy the nonsensical, musical exchange.
Mirror Monologue is a drama exercise. be a monologue (a speech said by one character) to a mirror in your home. You could do this while you are getting ready for the day or at some point when you need a bathroom break. Your task is to narrate in the third person about yourself as you stare yourself in the eyes.

Thankfulness what are you grateful for in your life? – this is an opportunity to 'count your blessings' by listing all the things you are grateful for today.
Continuous Line Drawing is a visual arts exercise. Life is abstract so let's have a go at drawing abstract from life. This exercise will get you drawing a person without lifting your pencil from the paper.
Beautiful Mess. This activity captures the beauty found in ‘messy spaces' in your home and yard. It's a photography exercise, so remember some of those photography techniques mentioned in the earlier podcast series.
Stomp it out. Test the musical possibilities of things you find at home. What kind of cool sounds can you make from everyday objects?
It's all in the detail is a drama based exercise. Grab some objects from around the house and monologue descriptively about the objects.
Movement Inspiration is dance activity. Let go of your inhibitions and dance like no-one is watching.
Play Host gives you a little time out, in mindfulness. This is an exercise in promoting wellbeing. Play host to yourself. Lay out a lovely meal, set the table with special plates or glassware and take time to enjoy the simple pleasures.
Out my window is an art exercise to encourage you to look out and draw what you see. Choose a window in your house as a frame for sketching what you see beyond.
Flora and Fauna continues exploring photography in a series. In your garden (or your friends, friendly neighbours, or a local park) create a series of images based things you find in nature.
Point and Sing is a music exercise that will have you breaking into song at the sight of an object in your house! Sing to and about random objects in your house and play around with different music styles to suit each object.
Play pretend is based in drama. Imagine you are on a talk show and being interviewed because you are really, really famous. Tell your life story and reveal the secret to your success to your audience.
Walk it out is dance exercise to get your body moving and dance ready. Aside from the health benefits of walking, walking it a great way to 'shake out' your creativity. Add some extra movement while you walk as dance moves.
