In this episode I discuss black hairstyles in the workplace through my own experience. There's so much more that I wish I would've mentioned in this episode, but I had to just jump on the mic to say what I felt in the given moment. Nowadays companies are trying to be more diverse (sadly that it's something that needs to be "tried" and "accepted") but I believe that society is headed in a positive direction. Black women are now feeling confident entering the workplace with hairstyles that may seem dramatic to their non-black colleagues, but are normal protective styles for us. I think it's important for non-black people to understand that braids, weaves, wigs, etc. worn by black women are not only from heritage and tradition, but also are protective styles which help us maintain our natural hair underneath for whatever the occasion. And if there's one lesson to be learned when it comes to black women and our hair, DON'T TOUCH OUR HAIR"!
On this episode I discuss the unfairness the PRIDE community receives when expressing their thoughts for equalilty, understanding and acceptance.

I discuss how selfceare is so essential to your mental health and how sometimes when you don't feel like it, then don't!
Going through my closet and reviewing my refined wardrobe one day, gave me reflection upon my glow-up. On this episode, I discuss the glow-up process and how I view it as the power of healing.
