Hope is often mistaken for a feeling of optimism, but for many people it looks much quieter: the decision to stay alive and keep going even when nothing feels certain. In this episode, we explore how hope is less about feeling inspired and more about choosing, day after day, to remain open to the possibility that life can change. Sometimes the most meaningful act is not thriving—it's surviving.Key TakeawaysHope is not a mood; it is a decision. You do not need certainty to keep going.Survival is a meaningful achievement.Choosing “one more day” is an act of courage.Staying alive preserves the possibility of connection, healing, and purpose.Quiet hope often sounds like: “I'm not done yet.”Thrive With Leo Coaching: If you want to reduce your psychological pain, regain your purpose and forge your own path, go to www.thrivewithleo.com to begin your journey. If you or anyone you know is considering suicide or self-harm, or is anxious, depressed, upset, or needs to talk, there are people who want to help:In the US: Crisis Text Line: Text CRISIS to 741741 for free, confidential crisis counseling. Belle Burden was, by her own account, the good girl. Quiet, compliant, the kid who wrote her own book report and did her homework on Friday afternoons. Then one night in the second week of the 2020 lockdown, a stranger left a voicemail: your husband is having an affair with my wife. By 6 a.m. her 20-year marriage was over, and the life she thought she could count on stopped making sense. In her memoir of the event and its aftermath, Strangers, Belle traces how she got to this place - and how she found her way back. They get into the stuff we all carry: why "being good" can quietly cost you yourself, how kids notice far more than we give them credit for, and why it's never too late to tell them the truth. Dr. Becky wrote up her thoughts on how to get the "good girl" tendency out of your own emotional driver seat. * Thank you to our partners for making this episode possible: Girl Scouts: If you have a daughter in kindergarten through 12th grade, visit girlscouts.org to learn more LMNT: Get a free gift with your purchase at drinkLMNT.com/goodinside Pampers Easy Ups: Start your potty training journey with Peppa Pig Pampers Easy Ups Little Spoon: Get 50% off your first order at littlespoon.com/rattled with code RATTLED Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. For some people, they have something that happens in their life and it's the one thing that has happened in their life. Maybe they beat addiction. Alcoholism. Cheating. If you go online on social media, there is something for everyone.....from polygamy to poor me. There's a story. But what happens is, people tend to live a story. Do battle. Conquer it. And unfortunately, it's become thie lifelong story. The problem is, most people don't go beyond one battle or fight to do anything else. My friend Jon Cheplak fought alcoholism. Did multiple stints in rehab. Won. Moved on to Bodybuilding. Won. Moved on to starting a business and conquering it...... He's still winning and still expanding. That's how the story of our lives is supposed to go. Pick a new battle after every success. Thats how to life well. Cheating can break trust, destroy relationships, and leave emotional scars—but is it possible for someone to truly change after they've cheated? On this episode of the Men Don't Know Podcast, Chris is joined by Laura (The Hairdresser) and Tay for an honest, emotional, and sometimes controversial conversation about whether a relationship can survive infidelity. Can people genuinely change after cheating, or are they bound to repeat the same mistakes? Is forgiveness a sign of strength—or a setup for more heartbreak? We explore what accountability really looks like, whether trust can ever be fully restored, and what it takes for a relationship to move forward after betrayal. From both the male and female perspective, we tackle one of the biggest relationship questions of all time.
Send us Fan Mail I'm taking you inside the biggest Bravo scandal of the summer: Jax Taylor and publicist Lori Krebs — and trust me, this story is far more complicated than TMZ is telling you, because I've got audio receipts going back to February 2024, including who was secretly blocking women from Brittany Cartwright's Instagram, a devastating letter from a woman whose career and family were destroyed after one of Jax's paid appearances in Toronto, Lori's full backstory from Lindsay Lohan to Bachelor Nation, the marriage nobody's talking about, the Boca Raton sighting that shreds the "no overlap" claim, the infinity pool photos that got her fired, what Lala Kent just called them both on her podcast, and why The Valley picked cameras back up for Season 3. Then I'm spilling exclusive Real Housewives of Rhode Island casting tea — including a Made in Chelsea star whose husband Inigo Philbrick committed one of the largest art frauds in American history, how the FBI chased him across the world to a tiny Pacific island, and the $86 million that's still missing — plus a second new Housewife and a surprise name spotted filming. In RHONJ land, Luis Ruelas posts a very strange Instagram video right after my live with Kim D, I've got tea on the finale switch-up that spells trouble for Dolores Catania and a big win for Teresa Giudice and Gia Giudice, and Margaret Josephs lands a major new full-time role. I wrap with Brandi Glanville joining Special Forces alongside Mauricio Umansky and Alexia Umansky despite their messy RHOBH history, and the strangest segment I've done in a while: Robbie Williams, Billy Corgan, Tila Tequila, and a Jeffrey Epstein victim all describing the exact same terrifying "shapeshifter" encounter — what is going on here? Tim Jenkins, Cheating at Roulette with an Atari Computer Tim Jenkins is the author of several humorous memoirs: "Missions Accomplished: And some funny business along the way", "More Missions Accomplished: And a lot more funny business", and "Business Missions Accomplished: Silly travel tales on the corporate dime". I wanted to talk to Tim about one chapter in his 2018 book More Missions Accomplished: the chapter is titled "Gaming the System" and it tells the tale of him trying to cheat a roulette using his Atari 800 computer. A brief excerpt from that chapter: "Las Vegas — 1989. Shortly after the dawn of the personal computer revolution, opportunity beckoned. Some people wrote software and sold it over retail counters. Others launched services that harnessed the databasing and processing power of the PC to help people find a job, a date, or other people with the same interests. I put my own Atari 800 computer to work simulating roulette. ... If you kept increasing your bet every time you lost a spin of the wheel, eventually your number would come up: The question was, would you earn back all the money you'd previously lost and make a profit? Yes. That is, you would if you did not first run into the table limit. ... How to get there without hitting the max bet? That's what I set out to simulate on my Atari computer. ... The program showed this to be a winning strategy, if perfectly executed." This interview took place on May 22, 2025. This week on Chins & Giggles, Karina and Mayra are officially entering their game era… and apparently that comes with a dress code. From attending their first soccer game and realizing sports event attire etiquette is VERY real, to debating what exactly qualifies as the right outfit for the occasion, the girls are learning that showing up is only half the battle. They also dive into the internet's latest obsession with Kelsey rowing, why everyone suddenly has thoughts about competitive hobbies, and a juicy conversation about cheating, second chances, and whether some relationships can actually recover after trust is broken. Plus, the girls get real about something every mom knows but nobody talks about enough: mom miles. The emotional, mental, and physical miles moms put in every single day that somehow never show up on a fitness tracker. Sports takes, relationship debates, internet rabbit holes, and a little mom therapy session? Just another week with your favorite primas. Grab your cafecito and join the conversation.
