Do you ever struggle to keep the faith? We've all been there, haven't we? Those days, weeks, and months where it seems like we are hanging onto the rope of faith and we are at the last knot? Haven't you been there? I know I have.Main Points:1. It's in those moments that I have to go back to God's Word. This is where my faith is strengthened. I have to be reminded often of who God is, what he has already done, and what he has promised to do.2. We can identify with the father in this story. We want to believe, but sometimes faith is a struggle. When you have been through so much, when you are weary, and when it seems like options are few, it can be hard to believe.3. f you are struggling to believe, cry out to Jesus… “I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief.” Once again trust our great God to meet you in your time of difficulty and to give you the faith you need.Today's Scripture Verses:Romans 10:17 - “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Mark 9:22-27 - “But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.“ ‘If you can'?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He's dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group

Our guest today is Laura Burkhauser, CEO of Descript, the video editor that's been AI-native long before “AI-native” was something you put in a pitch deck. Laura's route to the CEO seat started as a customer. She loved the product enough to knock on founder Andrew Mason's door and ask to work on it. She joined to lead product, but only three years later she's succeeded the well-known founder and is running the company. When clutter piles up in our homes, it's not just “stuff” for many of us who are Highly Sensitive Persons. We can experience it as visual noise, decision fatigue, emotional stories, sensory input, and shame. So much shame. In this episode, my dear friend and co-author Kathi Lipp and I explore why everyday home management can feel uniquely overwhelming for HSPs … and how we can learn to respond with practical compassion instead of all-or-nothing thinking. You'll learn why tidying up a space can help your nervous system exhale, why systems often collapse when life happens, and how to create a simple “stabilizing day” rather than trying to catch up on everything at once Kathi also shares three small re-entry steps for those moments when home feels overwhelming. This episode is a gentle invitation to stop asking, “Why can't I keep up?” and start asking, “What might help my HSP nervous system take the next small step?” Links to Resources Mentioned: Kathi Lipp's Clutter Free Academy Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/clutterfreeacademy Order Kathi's book Clutter Free: Quick and Easy Steps for Simplifying Your Space https://www.amazon.com/Clutter-Free-Quick-Steps-Simplifying/dp/0736959130/ Check out Kathi's Website: https://kathilipp.com/ https://kathilipp.com/ Take the “Am I a Highly Sensitive Person?” Self-Quiz https://CheriGregory.com/hspquiz/ Learn about the Sensitive & Strong Community Cafe https://sensitiveandstrongbook.com/sensitive-strong-community-cafe/ Chapters (00:00:00) - When clutter piles up in our homes(00:01:17) - Grit and Grace: Highly Sensitive Christian Women(00:03:49) - What is HSP?(00:04:50) - The Special Challenges of Being a Highly Sensitive Person(00:09:25) - Why is clutter more detrimental to HSPs than to the rest(00:11:52) - What to Do When Things Fall Apart in the Household?(00:18:00) - Why Does a Clean House Feel So Peaceful? Clearing the FOG with co-hosts Margaret Flowers and Kevin Zeese
The Bethesda African Cemetery Coalition (BACC) has been fighting for eleven years to stop construction on top of a desecrated African cemetery and to build a museum to honor and educate about the erased history of the death camps that profited from the breeding of African girls, who are buried there, for forced labor. In what is considered a progressive bastion, Montgomery County in Maryland, not a single politician has supported their struggle. Clearing the FOG speaks with BACC co-founder Dr. Marsha Coleman- Adebayo about their efforts on the streets, in legislative bodies and in the courts and why their work is foundational to ending white supremacy. Are you like the majority of agents who know they should delegate and automate? You try to hire an assistant or implement a new AI tool, only to have it fail miserably. In the end, you spend more time fixing the mess than if you had just done it yourself in the first place. The strategy wasn't the problem. The missing piece was.In this conversation, we get into standard operating procedures and why they're the prerequisite to almost everything you're trying to add to your business right now. We unpack why most agents have procedures locked in their head but never on paper, the restaurant dishwasher analogy Garrett uses to break a business into the small chunks you can actually systematize, the "definition of done" that turns a vague task into a finished one, the BMW brake job that paid Garrett the equivalent of $1,400 an hour because he had the experience and the process, Dan Martell's Buy Back Your Time and why we keep coming back to it, the trap of handing a brand new hire the job of writing their own SOP, and the SOP Builder we put together at tentenths.co/sop-builder to walk you through your first one.You already have the experience. The work is just getting it out of your head and onto paper, one process at a time. It comes down to picking one routine task you did today, sitting down with the SOP Builder, and letting it ask you the questions that unlock the procedure. Done right, your business becomes something you can hand off, automate against, and trust. And that's when hiring works, AI works, and burnout finally starts going the other direction.Process plus experience equals freedom.Join us in the 11 Circle for weekly coaching, additional resources, and full access to our online community. Send us Fan MailThe dream is the easy part. The struggle is the receipt, and it shows up whether we like it or not. Today we're asking a question that instantly clarifies your goals, your career moves, and even your relationships: what are you willing to struggle for?We riff on a line from The Subtle Art of Not Giving an F-U-C-K that reframes happiness as something earned through “choosing and managing our struggles.” If you've been chasing constant happiness, we slow down and normalize the truth that life is often 50-50. Feeling sad, anxious, bored, or angry doesn't mean you're broken. It means you're human, and it might be time to choose a different kind of hard, the kind that matches your values and your season. We make it practical with real-world examples and metaphors you'll remember: the seed that has to sit in cold darkness before it breaks through the soil, the teacher who loves the work but still faces politics, the entrepreneur who has to learn sales, the parent who has to grow up alongside their kid, and the dream that looks glamorous until you see the weekends, the tests, or the early call times. Then we walk through four steps you can use as a mindset and alignment filter: write your dreams, list what you love, name where struggle will show up, and decide if you're willing to get uncomfortable for that goal.If your life has felt heavy lately, we also offer a simple check-in: close your eyes, breathe, ask what's going on, and trust what comes up. The Pirates scored just 26 runs while going 2-4 against the Dodgers and Marlins. Jim and DiNardo discuss how much the offense is missing Oneil Cruz and Konnor Griffin and whether this lineup has enough depth to survive without them. Joey Bart appears close to returning, which creates another decision behind the plate. Will Henry Davis continue catching, or has Endy Rodriguez earned a bigger opportunity with a 126 wRC+ this season? They also break down the Pirates' handling of Carmen Mlodzinski. Using him almost exclusively as a scheduled reliever following Jared Jones limits someone who could become a legitimate high-leverage weapon for this bullpen. @eddiep_photos TICKETS FOR OUR JUNE 13TH TAILGATE: https://www.gofevo.com/event/Northshore9tailgate0613 Use Promo Code NS930 for 30% off your first order at https://www.defer.coffee Use Promo Code NORTHSHORENINE for $20 off your first order at https://www.seatgeek.com LIKE and SUBSCRIBE with NOTIFICATIONS ON if you enjoyed the show!
