    Shri Brajeshwar Mukherjee was born on 11th March 1984 in Burdwan, West Bengal. He received his initial training in Hindustani Vocal Music from Shri Asit Roy. At present he is undergoing an advanced training of music under Shri Ajoy Chakraborty, a noted guru from the Patiala Gharana. He holds a Masters Degree in Music and has received a Scholarship from the Government of India. Shri Brajeshwar Mukherjee has participated in many prestigious festivals in India and abroad. He has attended many seminars and workshops and has several recordings to his credit. Shri Brajeshwar Mukherjee is the recipient of the Shrutinandan Puraskar, the Gaanwardhan Purashkar, the Dhananjay Bhattacharya Award. He is a member of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy and Shrutinandan Kolkata. Shri Brajeshwar Mukherjee is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2015 for his notable talent in the field of Hindustani Vocal Music.

    Kirit Singh left his career as a software engineer early on to pursue his passion for music. He is currently a music research scholar undertaking his PhD at SOAS university, London, on the tradition of Gurbānī Kīrtan and Hindustani music in Punjab during the colonial period. He initiated The Mardana Project as a public facing interface for disseminating his research to the wider community and for raising awareness around the rich history of the Gurbānī Kīrtan tradition. He is also a Dhrupad vocalist training under the renowned exponent Pt. Uday Bhawalkar, and is a regular performer of Gurbānī Kīrtan.

Having started his journey in music at age 4 with classical piano, he moved on to study bass at 8 and later studied jazz, which led him to Hindustani Classical Music. He went on to study formally with Dr. Peter Dew and then with Ust. Ali Akbar Khan, and also trained under Sri James Pomerantz, and Dr. George Ruckert. Presently, Josh is continuing his training with Ust. Ali Akbar Khan’s sons Ust. Aashish Khan and Sri Alam Khan, as well as his senior disciple Sri Anindya Banerjee.
