For me, one of the most challenging things is naming things, and when a name fits like a glove it is incredibly satisfying. So you can imaging that one of the things that I was eager to talk about with Mark Stankey and Matt Byers was the name "PLAAD", which is an acronym for the Practice of Lasting Art, Architecture and Design... I mean, come on. So good. Mark is an award-winning designer and while Matt excels at design, his particular strengths are in project management and building science. They also have individuals within their firm with substantial experience in the residential construction industry. They have diverse backgrounds and interests but one common goal: to create thoughtful and timeless architecture, while providing meaningful, personal, and dedicated service to each of their clients.
