The Catawba Island Historical Society shares stories, conversations and oral histories of the people, places, artifacts and industries of Catawba Island, Ohio. All the interesting stories and histories come directly from conversations and interviews with the inimitable lifelong Catawba resident Don Rhodes. The stories shared here are a great complement to the exhibits, displays, information and artifacts on display at the Catawba Island Museum located in the historic Union Chapel building. He shares even more of his fruit knowledge, a great trivia piece about Napoleon and canning jars and many more interesting tidbits. We have done our best to enhance the audio, though, and will share the remainder in Episode 8 next week. As we are leaving the Catawba Cliffs through the Catawba Island State Park, we head down Moore's Dock Road, into the Catawba School neighborhood and then out Schoolhouse Road onto Northeast Catawba Road.
